Teukbyeolhan Chobap Yeongtong is a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant on Cheongmyeongnam-ro near Yeongtong Station in Suwon, where every plate is a flat 1,890 won. Sitting at a regular table instead of the belt, the writer ordered by tablet — three plates of aged kimchi flounder, fried squid legs and cold buckwheat noodles among 19 plates — for 41,910 won. After about 10 self-paid visits, the fried squid legs and aged kimchi flounder are the two dishes to order at Teukbyeolhan Chobap.

A recommended review of Teukbyeolhan Chobap, a Yeongtong, Suwon local favorite!

I actually posted about Teukbyeolhan Chobap's Yeongtong branch back when I first started blogging haha. I've been here on my own dime about 10 times now?! Why? Because it's one of the best restaurants in Yeongtong, that's why haha.

How much is sushi at Teukbyeolhan Chobap Yeongtong? Every plate is 1,890 won

Every single plate is ₩1,890 — such a great deal! Given how prices are these days, that's crazy cheap. There are a lot of these low-price(?) conveyor-belt sushi places around now, but I honestly think Teukbyeolhan is the tastiest haha.

Waiting through Catch Table: belt seats or regular tables

Ah haha, you basically have to wait at Teukbyeolhan Chobap Yeongtong! Putting your name on the Catch Table waitlist is convenient because they text you your number and wait time on KakaoTalk.

Catch Table waitlist notification screen

Last time I sat at a belt seat, but since the wait had gotten long this time, staff asked if a regular table was okay. Picking things off the belt yourself is convenient, but then the review would be the same as last time lolol (actually good, though~~~). If you sit at your table and order from the tablet, they bring whatever you want right to your seat! (Kind of a win?)

Regular table seat with tablet ordering

I love rakkyo (pickled shallots) — it's kind of like danmuji (pickled radish) or kimchi to me — so they served it in a bowl along with wasabi and soy sauce set up on the side.

The soup broth here is really good haha. If you feel like you need more, just ask and they'll bring it right over!

So I went wild ordering on the tablet and waited for it all to arrive. Sure, grabbing straight off the belt is nice too, but having it brought to your table like this felt so convenient for me (though I'm sure it's more work for the staff).

First plate of sushi brought to the table

Starting with the flounder plates: fin, salmon with onion, flounder

We decided to start light with flounder fin sushi. Since every plate here is ₩1,890, the pricier cuts of sushi only come as a single piece — which makes it super easy to keep track of the bill haha. The fin sushi was, needless to say, incredibly delicious.

I love the salmon-onion sushi haha. That sauce on top is especially good haha. Teukbyeolhan Chobap does both flounder and salmon really well haha, which is why I love this place haha.

My true favorite — flounder! The rice portion was just right and the fish was nice and thick, which made it even better haha.

Thick-cut flounder sushi

Flounder is just so good haha. It's always been my favorite fish. Salmon is good too, but it's a bit less chewy — I love that springy texture haha.

Three plates of aged kimchi flounder

My absolute favorite — aged kimchi flounder!!!! I ordered three plates of it. It's my favorite sushi, since I especially love jangajji-style aged kimchi (mukeunji), I really love this aged kimchi flounder sushi! Among the conveyor-belt sushi places around here, Teukbyeolhan Chobap makes the best aged kimchi flounder haha. That's why I eat a ton of it every time I come here haha.

No wasabi in the sushi, so families with kids come often

Oh, one thing — the sushi here doesn't come with wasabi mixed in! So a lot of parents bring their kids here, since wasabi would be too spicy for them (smiling quietly). Honestly, I prefer it without wasabi too haha. So naturally, they have baby chairs on hand too!!!

Tuna akami (lean cut)! It had salt sprinkled on top, which made it feel extra special and delicious haha. It had kind of a luxurious feel to it, so my boyfriend, who loves tuna, said it was great, and we ended up eating two plates haha.

Just dip it straight into soy sauce mixed with wasabi like this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The raw sweet shrimp I always get every time I come — and it's only ₩1,890?!!!! That's less than ₩1,000 a piece?!!!

My boyfriend's favorite — the taco-wasabi gunkan (hand roll)! He loves that sharp, nose-tingling kick, so he always gets the taco-wasabi gunkan. I'm not really into it so I don't eat it, but it's his all-time favorite!!!

Cold buckwheat noodles, 6,000 won for a bigger bowl than expected

The weather's slowly cooling down, but I was still craving cold buckwheat noodles (naeng-memil) today so I ordered some. It's ₩6,000, and it came in a bowl way bigger than I expected, which was satisfying. Even the broth was delicious, so I finished the whole bowl haha.

Ahhhh haha, the noodles were springy and delicious. It's not exactly the kind of thing that blows your mind, but it's a good palate-cleanser kind of cold noodle dish, if that makes sense?!

Sea bream belly, cheese roll, gamtae seaweed sweet shrimp with uni

One of my favorites — sea bream belly! Each piece is ₩1,890, and since we ordered two, they came out together on two stacked plates (efficient!). Everyone should order the sea bream belly! Maybe because we ordered it to our table, it came out feeling super fresh, like it had just been sliced — so, so good!!!!!!!!!!

The cheese roll that my boyfriend loves so much lol. I don't usually eat gunkan or rolls since I don't want to fill up on rice, but he always makes sure to eat a few!!! With the cheese inside, it's savory and salty and so delicious, he says lolol.

Gamtae (seaweed) sweet shrimp with uni! The sweet shrimp is nice and sweet, topped with uni, and you wrap it all in the gamtae haha. I'm not really a fan of gamtae so I asked my boyfriend if it was good, and as always he said it's the best haha.

Fried squid legs are also 1,890 won — my number one pick

Whenever I come to Teukbyeolhan Chobap I always get the eel fin tempura — it comes out freshly fried and piping hot, and it's so good. That sauce is amazing too haha. Eel fin tempura counts as one plate too, so it's only ₩1,890! Whether it's eel fin tempura, shrimp tempura, or karaage, I always get one kind of fried food, but today's eel fin tempura is still my number one!!!!!! My one pick!!!

Just dip it right into the sauce like this haha. It's golden and crispy, so you can keep eating it without ever getting tired of it(?)

Yukhoe (beef tartare) sushi is unreal!!!!!!! So delicious. If you come to Teukbyeolhan Chobap, please, please try the yukhoe sushi..!

Plate of yukhoe (beef tartare) sushi

Last but not least, we got salmon. It's ₩1,890, and the length of the fish slice was crazy haha. So, so satisfying haha.

Salmon sushi with a long slice of fish

They also have really, really good pineapple here;;;;; sweet and refreshing, perfect as a palate cleanser, so I always make sure to end with fruit lolololol. Take it from someone who's paid out of pocket 10 times haha.

19 plates for two people, 41,910 won total

Aged kimchi flounder x3 / flounder fin / salmon-onion / flounder x2 / tuna akami x2 / eel fin tempura / cold buckwheat noodles / yukhoe / raw sweet shrimp / gamtae sweet shrimp uni / taco gunkan / salmon / sea bream belly x2 / cheese roll / pineapple

We ate 19 plates total and it came out to ₩41,910;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; Sure, my appetite's gotten smaller these days, but that's still insane value hahahahaha.

The staff are always so kind every time I come, and if you leave a Naver review, they give you a drink too, which is such a nice touch?!!!! And parking is easy in the building's basement, which makes it even better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
