It's a great spot to visit while traveling, but it's also a beloved local favorite among nearby residents.

It's also a great pizza, pasta, and salad spot to visit with kids — here's my review after a very satisfying meal there.

If you enter Cultured into your navigation, it'll direct you to the back entrance, and right before you arrive you'll see a public parking lot. It's free on weekends and holidays!

Full even at weekday lunch: how long is the wait?

It's a spacious restaurant with a relaxed vibe, but by 11:40 a.m. on a weekday every seat was already taken. Anyone who came after us either had a reservation or had to put their name on the waitlist.

Why Cultured works for eating out with kids

Cultured has plenty of baby chairs, making it easy to dine with family. Honestly, when eating out with a kid, a spacious room with a lively, crowded atmosphere is much more comfortable. There were quite a few family groups, as well as coworkers having lunch or get-togethers.

What comes in Cultured's 38,500-won lunch special

Cultured's lunch special is especially popular — it's a combo of salad + pasta or risotto + pizza + dessert (drink) for 38,500 won! The portions are generous and the flavor is great too. It exceeded my expectations, and I finally understood why it's fully booked even on weekday lunches.

The drinks came out first, served in can-shaped cups. On a hot day, iced coffee and cola were a very welcome sight!

Here's the lunch set we ordered: steak salad, seafood tomato linguine, and half gorgonzola + half margherita pizza.

The steak salad

Just from the look of this steak salad, I already knew this place was a hidden gem. Perfectly grilled eggplant and mushrooms, a generous amount of steak, and salad all tossed in balsamic sauce — it hit exactly my taste, haha.

You know that thing where something's so delicious your eyebrows keep furrowing? That was this — the kind of flavor that keeps making your face scrunch up. This steak salad was the kind of thing I'd want once a week, lol. Seriously the best!

Seafood tomato linguine

The second dish was the seafood tomato linguine. Honestly, I was so distracted by the baby that I ordered it on a hunch without really reading the menu description.

But wow, this pasta was also a total winner!!! First off, the amount of seafood was seriously impressive...

The linguine noodles had just the right texture, and there was so much squid, shrimp, and clams that they kept turning up no matter how much I dug through, lol. There was a slight spicy kick too, so I kept eating without feeling heavy at all. Now I'm curious what the other pastas and risottos we didn't order taste like. (Guess I'll have to come back.)

Half gorgonzola, half margherita pizza

The last dish was the half gorgonzola, half margherita pizza. And guess what — this isn't the gorgonzola your parents like. It's absolutely loaded with cheese, almost as chewy as a full cheese pizza. They gave us honey for each person, but honestly the cheese flavor alone was enough without dipping. Such a delicious cheese pizza!!!

All of Cultured's pizzas use pastry dough, so the crust itself is perfect too... It's a set for two, but the portion is so generous that people often take the pizza to go. Ultimate portion king, haha.

I'm still thinking about that steak salad and want to go back just for it. My husband keeps talking about the pizza...

Is Cultured worth a visit? The verdict

All in all, Cultured is a delicious Western restaurant in Ara-dong, Jeju! If you're looking for a family restaurant that's good to visit with kids, I highly recommend giving Cultured a try.
