Finding Pizza Slice Seoul: 9 minutes from Seongsu Station Exit 2

Pizza Slice Seoul is an American-style pizza-by-the-slice shop about a 9-minute walk from Seongsu Station Exit 2, at 159 Achasan-ro, B1. I went craving some American-vibe pizza in Seongsu. Since it's a basement pizzeria, even the entrance felt a bit different.

How big is the basement dining room at Pizza Slice Seoul?

Heading down to the basement of Pizza Slice Seoul, I was surprised at how much bigger the interior was than I expected. Even as a basement space, it never felt cramped or stuffy — it was comfortable, and the overall vibe genuinely felt like walking into an American pizza shop!

Handwashing area inside the shop

There was also a simple handwashing spot, which was handy after eating pizza with your hands.

Since I visited in the evening, the variety of pizzas wasn't huge. That day I ordered a pepperoni pizza and garlic knots. Think of garlic knots as basically garlic bread!

Pepperoni slice, 7,000 won: how thin is the crust?

  • Pepperoni pizza ₩7,000
  • Garlic knots ₩3,000
  • Zero-sugar cola ₩3,000

First up, the pepperoni pizza I'd been most looking forward to 🍕 The crust was thin, which personally I liked even more. Instead of feeling like you're eating bread the way you do with a thick crust, this was thin and crispy, letting the toppings and cheese really shine.

The salty, rich flavor of the pepperoni blended with the cheese for exactly the classic American pepperoni pizza taste you'd imagine. Rather than being some fancy variation, it was true to the basics — and honestly, that made it even better. Thin crust plus pepperoni, the ultimate combo 🍕

Crushed pepper and hot sauce come free

I also liked that the shop provides crushed pepper and hot sauce free of charge. If you want an extra kick while eating your pizza, you can just add it to taste. Sprinkling a little crushed pepper on the pepperoni pizza added a spicy aroma that cut through the richness nicely.

Are the 3,000-won garlic knots worth ordering?

The garlic knots paired well with the pizza. The flavor itself was close to a standard garlic bread, with a subtle garlic aroma that worked well between bites of pizza. Personally, I'd recommend the pepperoni pizza more.

Seongsu's hip crowd, and the celebrities who drop in

There were foreign customers in the shop too, which added to the feeling of really being at an overseas pizzeria. It matched Seongsu's particular hip atmosphere well. And I happened to spot PD Kim Tae-ho having a team meeting there. As a famous spot in Seongsu, it seemed to draw all kinds of people — a fun thing to witness.

Overall, this is a place with a spacious, comfortable interior, a mood that really nails the American feel, and a memorable, classic thin-crust pepperoni pizza. If you want to enjoy a slice without feeling too heavy, or you're looking for a hip American-style space in Seongsu, give Pizza Slice Seoul a try.

Verdict: is Pizza Slice Seoul worth a stop in Seongsu?

  • Spacious, comfortable space with full American vibes
