What are the interior and seating like at Sinineurin Dakbal?
Outside, Sinineurin Dakbal's red sign and lighting made the restaurant's name easy to spot. Step through the door and you find a calm, cozy space built around black tones.

Menu and how to choose your spice level
Sinineurin Dakbal has a wide range of signature and side dishes, which made it easy to mix and match to taste. Both boneless and bone-in dakbal can be ordered in mild, medium, or hot spice.
Medium is described as about as spicy as Shin Ramyun, and hot as closer to Buldak Bokkeum-myeon, so you can pick based on your usual spice tolerance. They also have clam soup, odeng (fish cake) soup, old-style whole fried chicken, nurungji, tuna mayo rice balls, and pineapple sorbet, which seemed handy for dining with people who aren't into dakbal.

Side dishes that come with the table

The table came with small plates, utensils, and water cups all neatly set, along with a side of cabbage salad and pickled radish.

Perilla leaves and a mayo-based sauce, both ordered via the kiosk, were also served, letting us mix and match with the dakbal or chicken neck to taste.
How spicy is the boneless dakbal in medium?

🌟 Boneless dakbal (₩19,000, medium spice) A large hot plate piled with boneless dakbal looked appetizing from the glossy red sauce alone. It was already cut into bite-sized pieces, so there was no need to pick out bones — an easy, comfortable eat.
In the mouth, the spicy-sweet sauce hit first, followed by a subtle smoky char from the direct grilling.

Rather than just heat, the savory depth of the sauce and the smoky char came through one after another, and it was hard to stop reaching for more once I started stacking pieces onto rice balls.

Adding a touch of the soft sauce made the balance between spicy and savory even more comfortable.

Grilled chicken neck in hot spice
🌟 Grilled chicken neck (₩20,000, hot spice) The grilled chicken neck came out cut into easy bite-sized pieces. The surface had a nice grilled color, and the chewy texture of chicken neck came through more the longer I chewed.

The smoky char and salty seasoning worked naturally together, making it a great match for soju or a cold beer.

It's a different texture from the dakbal, so alternating between the two dishes was fun, and it also paired well with the rice balls.

One bite with chicken neck and sauce wrapped in a perilla leaf!

Fried chicken gizzard and furikake rice balls
🌟 Fried chicken gizzard (₩12,000) The golden-fried gizzard had a crispy coating that paired well with the chewy meat inside. Bite-sized and easy to pick up, it offered a mild change of pace amid all the spicy dakbal. It's savory on its own, but dipping it lightly in the salt that came alongside added an extra soft depth of flavor.
🌟 Furikake rice ball (₩4,000) A self-assembled rice ball made with warm rice topped with furikake and mayonnaise.

Put on the gloves, mix everything evenly, then shape into round bite-sized balls — done!

The rice balls were salty and savory on their own, but topping them with a bit of the boneless dakbal sauce made them even better.

They softened the heat nicely, making for a hearty side to order alongside the dakbal.

Steamed egg to cool the heat
🌟 Steamed egg (₩4,000) The softly set steamed egg scooped easily off the spoon. Moist and mild, it was nice to have a bite after all that spicy dakbal.

Soju and beer
Would I go back to Sinineurin Dakbal in Seomyeon?
Sinineurin Dakbal's boneless dakbal was easy to eat and the spicy-sweet sauce combined well with the smoky char, while the chicken neck stood out for its chewy texture. Alternating between the crispy fried gizzard, savory rice balls, and soft steamed egg made even the heat easier to enjoy.
On a day craving a spicy dinner or a drink with friends, this felt like a good spot to remember for a date in Seomyeon, Busan. Sitting under the warm lighting, slowly sharing the dishes, made for a cozy and satisfying evening.
