What kind of Goyang café is Baedagol Bakery House?

Baedagol Bakery House is a bakery café with a garden at 123 Hoguk-ro 1121beon-gil, Deogyang-gu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do. I was hunting for a pretty café in Goyang and this is the one I found — Baedagol Bakery House.

Even from photos the building's exterior looked unusual, so I went with high expectations, and once I got there I immediately understood why this Goyang café gets talked about so much. The white exterior with its curved lines gave off a feeling of being somewhere in Europe, so I started snapping photos the moment I arrived.

Parking and discounts at Baedagol Bakery House

There's a parking spot right in front of the café, and if it's full there's plenty of parking across the street too. Even though it was a weekday there were a lot of cars — definitely felt like a popular café.

Baedagol Bakery House also gives out a lot of discounts, like a soldier discount and a birthday discount. Such a kind café!

First-floor window seats, private second floor and children's chairs

The sunlit windows on this Goyang café were so pretty — the kind of window scene you'd see in a picture book. The second-floor seating even had a somewhat private, room-like space.

They also had chairs ready for kids. That kind of thoughtful touch is exactly what puts customers in a good mood!

Baedagol Bakery House's biggest charm is definitely the interior. You could tell a lot of care went into every corner, inside and out — the seats where the green garden shows through the floor-to-ceiling windows felt healing just to sit in. With wooden tables and chairs, and outdoor seats with parasols, every space had a different mood, so I had a happy time deciding where to sit. The outdoor seating area was bigger than I expected, so on a nice day it seems like a great spot to spend a relaxed afternoon outside.

How does the signature salt bread taste?

The bakery exceeded expectations too. I first ordered the salt bread that's the signature item at Baedagol Bakery House — crispy outside, chewy inside, and the moment I bit in the buttery scent burst out. The balance of salty and sweet was just right, and I got why everyone recommends the salt bread first. There was also a wide variety of bread on display, so I picked a few more to try and they were all delicious. That bakery lineup alone made me certain I'd come back to this Goyang café.

Drinks and desserts: fresh melon smoothie, cake and mont blanc

For a drink I ordered the melon smoothie, and it was satisfying — rich and sweet like it was actually blended with real melon. There were also ades and smoothies on the menu to choose from depending on your taste, and since the americano and salt bread combo is apparently famous, I tried that too.

Baedagol Bakery House doesn't skimp on either bread or drinks, so it seems like a great place for couples or families to visit. The cake and mont blanc were delicious too — proper sugar rush!

The fresh melon smoothie was packed absolutely full of real melon, cool and so tasty. It was a real standout among standouts, the first time I've had something like it at a café.
