Here's the menu. There's a wide variety of drinks, but what really caught my eye was the malenka honey cake. It's also well known as a Czech dessert — I remember eating it on a trip to Prague. The owner recommended the almond flavor, so I ordered the almond cake.

First floor: one-of-a-kind furniture in every corner

This is a large café packed with a 1st floor, 2nd floor, 3rd floor rooftop, and an annex. I started by exploring the 1st floor. It felt almost like a furniture showroom had opened up here — every single piece of furniture felt unique.

Coming out the back door, there were stairs leading up to the 2nd floor right to the right.

Second floor: a two-person private room that suits laptop work

I went up to the 2nd floor. It felt more spacious than the 1st floor, and there was a room-type space that only fits up to two people, which felt really private and nice. Maybe because of that, I saw a lot of people with their laptops open, working. It's a great spot to come alone or as a couple, but also a great fit for families or groups.

This is the 3rd floor rooftop. In weather this cool and breezy, enjoying the rooftop is perfect. There weren't any tables or chairs set up, but they told me I could just drag a camping chair anywhere and sit — I loved that. The view of the Sinchon jetty from the 3rd floor was excellent too. It was still morning so the sky looked a bit hazy, but as lunchtime approached, the clouds cleared and the sky turned really beautiful.

I came back down to the 1st floor and checked out the outdoor space too. Seeing the neatly kept lawn, I thought it would make a great venue for a small wedding. There were palm trees too, which you only see in Jeju, so it felt like I'd landed at a resort.

The annex: group seating and workshop rentals

I also stopped by the annex. It's a big, wide space that would work well for renting out for a workshop. In particular, the group seating was really well set up, making it look perfect for hosting an event.

After a lot of deliberation, we chose the inner room on the 2nd floor. Every space was so nice that we agonized over it for a while. Each room has a door you can close, so it's great for enjoying a private moment as a pair, and the big windows made it perfect for taking in the ocean view. There was also a clean restroom right next door, which made it comfortable to use.

How did the almond malenka cake and grapefruit honey ade taste?

Here's the almond malenka honey cake, iced café latte, and grapefruit honey ade. The grapefruit honey ade in particular really tasted like honey, true to its name — loved that. The malenka cake is made up of many thin layers, so it's sweet yet light enough to enjoy without feeling heavy.

They also gave us a hand-drip coffee as a service gift. I was told it's a drip bag made in-house at Robain Coffee Jeju Jocheon Sinchon Branch. It made a perfect souvenir to bring home from a Jeju trip, so I was satisfied on every front.
