I visited Cocker Noodle Two (cock a NOODLE doo), a ramen restaurant that just opened in the Songridan-gil alley, with my husband. I don't usually like ramen, but since this is Korean-style ramen it has a flavor that's hard to dislike — both of us walked away happy with this Songridan-gil find!

What kind of place is Cocker Noodle Two? Clear Korean beef and chicken bone broth

They simmer Korean beef bone and chicken bone together for a clear broth, then add a house-made tare to create a bowl that lives somewhere between dak-kalguksu (chicken knife-cut noodle soup) and ramen — reading the reviews, they seem to have quite a few regulars! If I lived nearby I'd become a regular too, which is a bit of a shame. Why isn't there a place like this near my house, ugh.

Exterior of Cocker Noodle Two

I went for a late breakfast-slash-lunch, and since it's in Songridan-gil, it was easy to get to and had a nice atmosphere!

I love how trendy the shops in Songridan-gil are, and Cocker Noodle Two's interior was pretty too. Trendy yet clean — exactly my taste.

I ordered ramen with chicken in it, and eating it while making eye contact with a chicken illustration on the wall felt a little guilty… haha. Still delicious though.

Relaxed seating area after the weekday lunch rush

The place looks relaxed and pleasant, doesn't it! You can even feel the calm in the photos.

Since I visited after the weekday lunch rush, it wasn't too crowded, but with this atmosphere and this level of taste, I could see this Songridan-gil spot getting a waiting line eventually.

Cocker Noodle Two menu and prices

The Cocker Noodle Two menu board

The menu was split into set menus, main noodles, sides, and add-on toppings. Rather than typical Japanese-style ramen, it leaned Korean-style, with a lot of dishes suited to Korean palates!

They also sell guk-bap (soup with rice), which looks great for lunch. You can also pick thick or thin noodles depending on your preference! There were so many appealing options that we agonized before landing on chicken char siu mala ramen for ₩14,000, whole chicken leg ramen for ₩12,000, and chicken jeon for ₩6,000!

The side dishes were kkakdugi (radish kimchi) and garlic scapes, and they tasted homemade!

Chicken char siu mala ramen, 14,000 won: a gentle mala heat

Ta-da, the chicken char siu mala ramen arrived. True to its name, it had that spicy, numbing mala flavor — if you like mala, this is a dish you should definitely try 🤍

Beyond the noodles, the bowl was loaded with bean sprouts, char siu, mushrooms, and quail eggs, which made it really filling. It wasn't just harshly spicy — the subtle mala flavor was the highlight, haha. Personally, an absolute favorite!!

Whole chicken leg ramen, 12,000 won: looks like samgyetang

The whole chicken leg ramen won me over on looks alone^^ It comes topped with one big chicken leg, looking almost like samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup)! Eating the chicken together with the ramen broth was hearty and satisfying!! My husband, who works out and often eats chicken breast, would recommend this if you generally like chicken 👍🏻 This ramen is also packed with ingredients!

Was the chicken jeon side, 6,000 won, worth ordering?

The chicken jeon (pan-fried chicken pancake) was crispy outside and moist inside. It's not the usual chive jeon or kimchi jeon, so I ordered it out of curiosity — and it was good enough to be a main dish, haha. My husband especially loved it. It went really well with the ramen too 👍🏻

If you happen to be heading to Songridan-gil or Seokchon Lake, why not spend a fun time enjoying good food at Cocker Noodle Two, a Korean-style ramen spot! I'll be back for the chicken char siu mala ramen again next time — now I'm curious about the other ramens too 😎
