I was passing by near Haenggung-dong in Suwon today when I stumbled on such a charming fortress-view bakery café that I had to share it! Meet Caffeine Focus — a view spot with the Hwaseong Fortress wall in full sight, famous for ciabatta baked fresh every morning.
I'll go through parking, the vibe inside, and how the bakery items tasted in detail, so take notes!
Caffeine Focus hours and where to park in Haenggung-dong
Caffeine Focus is open daily from 11:00 to 20:00 and closed every Tuesday. For parking, you can use the resident-priority zone outside the fortress wall right in front of the café, free self-parking allowed until 6 PM.

The exterior alone had such a neat, clean atmosphere.
There's also a nicely designed terrace, so on a sunny day sitting outside would be a lovely way to relax.

Caffeine Focus works like this: you order at the 1st floor counter, and the fortress-view seats are on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Right as you walk in there's the ordering counter, where they say they bake the ciabatta fresh every morning in-store — I was already so excited before even getting there!
Through the windows, the beautiful Hwaseong Fortress wall was laid out completely in view — a true fortress-view spot! There were quite a few people on the 2nd floor working on laptops or doing personal work that day. The whole atmosphere was very quiet and peaceful, and I really loved that stillness.
I also had a quick look at the 3rd floor, which had terrace seating plus a good mix of solo seats and larger tables for groups! Now let's check out the menu~

We picked the squid ink cheese ciabatta, which catches your eye right away, and ordered a clean decaf iced americano and a premium royal milk tea to drink alongside it!
After about 5 minutes, everything came out quickly!

The squid ink cheese ciabatta at Caffeine Focus was chewy with a cheese flavor that wasn't overpowering — mild and clean. Wow... the texture had me sighing in admiration from the very first bite! The bread was incredibly chewy, with a stretchiness that was genuinely special.
The cheese flavor doesn't hit sharply — it's nutty and blends in mildly, keeping things clean and light! It's the kind of bread anyone, any age, would like, and I ended up polishing it off in about 5 minutes 😋

The decaf iced americano had a clean finish, no heaviness or sourness, so it went perfectly with the nutty ciabatta!!
The subtle tea aroma and the sweet, smooth milk flavor spread through richly — exactly right for a sugar boost~
Winding down with the Hwaseong Fortress wall in view
Caffeine Focus, near Haenggung-dong, was a café where I could truly unwind while taking in the gorgeous view of the Hwaseong Fortress wall!
With its own parking space out front, it's easy to get to, and the quiet atmosphere made it great for chatting. I can't stop thinking about that chewy squid ink cheese ciabatta baked fresh every morning, so I'm planning to come back soon to try the other ciabatta flavors too!~~!!
