Suwon dessert café with window seats: fig cake at Diaz Cake Boutique

It had been a while since I hung out with my sister, so we decided to spend the weekend in nearby Ingye-dong haha

Where is Diaz Cake Boutique? Nahyeoseok-geori near Suwon City Hall Station, 2nd floor

We had a great meal and went looking for a nice-vibe café for dessert, and that's how we ended up at Diaz Cake Boutique! It's right by Nahyeoseok-geori so it's perfect after a meal, and being close to the station made it super easy to get to.

There's also a Café Diaz on the 4th floor of the same building, but Diaz Cake Boutique is on the 2nd floor!!

What is the café like inside? Wood-tone classic interior

I could already feel it from the entrance, but the moment we walked in I loved the interior — it had that romance-novel kind of feel lol. Overall it's wood-toned and classic, with a slight European touch, so photos came out really pretty!

Visiting Diaz Cake Boutique at 4-5pm: only two slices of fig cake left

Honestly the first thing that caught my eye was of course the cake showcase lol. The cakes piled high with fruit looked so pretty on their own. (They looked so delicious...) We visited around 4-5pm, and maybe because the cakes are so popular, there weren't many varieties left! T.T

A bit disappointing, but our whole goal was the fig cake (₩11,900) anyway, and thankfully 2 slices were still left, so we ordered right away! Most cake slices were ₩11,900, and whole cakes were around ₩49,000!

Diaz Cake Boutique menu: financiers and tea sets

Here's the menu! Besides cake, they also have financiers! Seems like a great option when you want something light for dessert haha

Also, Diaz Cake Boutique is apparently famous for their tea too! We had milk tea and chocolate latte, but seeing the tea sets other tables ordered — a full teapot and teacup setup — it looked so pretty haha. We promised ourselves that next time we come back, we're definitely ordering tea haha!

Seating at Diaz Cake Boutique: hallway seats for working, window seats for chatting

The interior was bigger than I expected, so it seems like a great spot for groups too! Along the hallway there are 4 tables for 4, and further inside there are tables for 4 and 6!

The hallway side has a cozy vibe, and I saw quite a few people reading or working there! Seems great for spending quiet time. The inner area is by the window, and during the day sunlight comes in with a direct view of Nahyeoseok-geori — the view was amazing! I think it's a great spot for chatting. We took a seat by the nice-vibe window haha

How to order and pick up at the counter

We ordered the fig cake, milk tea, and chocolate latte. After ordering, they give you a buzzer! When it rings, you go pick up your order at the counter!

How do the fig cake and chocolate latte taste?

First, the chocolate latte,,! It had that fancy Jeti-style chocolate flavor! A taste everyone would like haha. My sister ordered milk tea, and it must have been good because she finished it within 10 minutes of sitting down lol

The cake's whipped cream wasn't too heavy or too light, so it was clean and delicious! The sponge was also moist and not too sweet, making it a perfect match with the fruit! Their tea sets are also much cheaper than other places, and you can pre-order cakes during seasonal periods, which is nice! They said you can even request lettering service, so I want to order one for a special occasion next time!

It's close to Suwon City Hall Station, has a great atmosphere, and I'd recommend it whether you want to chat with someone or quietly get some work done haha
