Where is Pino Cafe Cheonan, and what is parking like?
Pino Cafe sits at 99-23 Hyuyangnim-gil, Pungse-myeon, Dongnam-gu, Cheonan-si, Chungcheongnam-do — head toward Mount Taehaksan and you'll find this brunch and pasta café tucked into nature. My husband had a day off, so we drove out that way and stopped in. The parking lot is huge, so even beginner drivers should find it easy to visit.

Main building vs. annex: how do they differ?
Main building
Pino Cafe has both a main building and an annex, which is great on busy weekends since there's a wider variety of seating to spread out into.
The main building has the kind of atmosphere that's good for both coffee and a full meal, so I noticed a lot of families, couples, and groups of friends visiting. The space overall is spacious, so instead of feeling cramped it had a relaxed, easygoing vibe that I liked.

It would be a shame to skip the outdoor windmill zone at Pino Cafe.
Windmill zone
Step outside the café and a wide garden and terrace opens up, and the outdoor area with the windmill really catches your eye. The scenery unfolds around the windmill, making it great for photos, and on a nice day it almost feels like you've arrived at a little getaway destination. The weather was so good the day I visited that it was pure healing.
Picnic zone and Romantic Camp-nic fees

There's a separate picnic zone that's perfect for taking your coffee outside and relaxing, and since it's dog-friendly, it's a space set up so families with kids or pet owners can enjoy a picnic together.
Pino also runs a "Romantic Camp-nic" program: 2 hours for ₩30,000 (based on 4 people) / 4 hours for ₩50,000 (based on 4 people) / all day for ₩100,000 (based on 4 people).
Why the annex feels new and the main building feels vintage
Annex
Moving over to the annex, you get a totally different vibe. Each space really has its own distinct feel. The annex is a bit more... new-build feeling, I guess, while the main building has more of that vintage character to it.

How does the shrimp & potato bacon half-and-half pizza taste?

What we ordered that day: the half-and-half pizza (shrimp & potato bacon), aglio olio, an iced latte, and an iced americano.
This is a menu where you get to enjoy two flavors on one pizza — great to order when there's a group of you. The shrimp side lets you taste the plumpness of the shrimp, and the dough was nice and savory. With the shrimp in there, the whole thing gets an extra layer of seafood umami, so it ended up being cleaner and lighter to eat than I expected.
The other side, potato bacon, is exactly what it sounds like — the potato and bacon combo makes it a bit more savory and filling, I'd say. Because the two flavors were so completely different, I didn't get tired of it.
Is the aglio olio at Pino Cafe Cheonan cooked al dente?
Aglio olio
The aglio olio came piled high with shrimp. Rather than being a sauce-heavy, punchy pasta, aglio olio is more about eating something clean and centered on garlic and oil, which made it a good pairing to order alongside the pizza. The garlic's distinct aroma rose gently, the oil's savoriness had soaked well into the noodles, and it had a light, clean taste that somehow kept drawing my fork back.
The noodles weren't overcooked and mushy — they kept a good amount of springiness, with just enough firmness at the center when you bite in. The oil and garlic sauce had soaked in well, so the first thing you notice is the savoriness, followed by the chewy texture of the noodles themselves, which made for great texture overall. With aglio olio, if the noodles get overcooked, that clean, light quality of an oil pasta gets lost — but Pino Cafe's pasta kept its firm, springy bite without going limp, so I could enjoy it happily all the way to the end.
Is Pino Cafe Cheonan worth the trip? Final verdict
I thought Pino Cafe in Pungse, Cheonan, was an especially great place to visit in the fall. The indoor space is spacious and split between the main building and annex, making it easy to settle in and take your time, and there's a large outdoor area to enjoy on a nice day, so it's a good spot for a date, a visit with your parents, or a gathering with friends. If you want to feel a sense of escape from the city, it's worth a visit.
