My boyfriend and I went to hang out in Gwangalli, Busan, and here's my review of 'Yong Hanu,' a hanwoo (Korean beef) spot in Namcheon-dong that's famous in Suyeong! Eating just raw fish the whole trip felt like a waste, so I looked up beef restaurants in Namcheon-dong and this place kept coming up haha.
Where is Yong Hanu Namcheon Branch, and what are the hours?
Yong Hanu Namcheon Branch is at 52 Namcheondong-ro 9beon-gil, 1st floor, Suyeong-gu, Busan. It's open daily 11:00–23:00 (last order 22:00), with a break time from 15:00–16:30. Reservations are possible, group dinners are welcome, and they even have high chairs.
It's a comfortable 10-minute bus ride from Gwangan Station haha. Good to know if you're planning to drink!
Even though we made the reservation the same day, they had the table all set up right on time for our arrival. Top-tier service haha 🤍

At Yong Hanu Namcheon Branch you can order each cut separately by 100g, or get a set menu that bundles the tasty cuts together for less. We went with the han-set for 99,000 won! (Plenty filling for two people.)
Why Yong Hanu Namcheon is a Namcheon-dong group-dinner favorite: the partitioned seats
I'd heard this place was famous as a group-dinner spot in Namcheon-dong, and looking at the seating, I got why. The tables are spaced far apart with partitions, so it felt private and quiet! There are also high chairs for family meals.
Side dishes, Maldon salt and beef radish soup
The side dishes were really neat and there were so many kinds! Especially loved the big salad — perfect to eat before the meat comes out haha!
There was salt in a little bowl, and dipping the meat in it was so good. When I asked, it turned out to be Maldon salt, the 'Hermès of salt' ✨ Beef radish soup came along too!! Tasted like something you'd want to pour over rice haha.
They turned on the burner and greased the griddle first with a beef cut used just for that! Apparently even that little bit is an expensive cut. They also thought to ask if we wanted aprons — nice touch 👍🏻
How did the 400g of sirloin and rib meat taste?
The han-set, 99,000 won. Look at that color on the meat... the marbling... it was incredible. Writing this makes me want to eat it again lol.

Sirloin first! When they're not busy, they seem to grill it for you. The owner was so funny and really good at grilling meat too..👍🏻
The meat quality was so good that even just a plain dip in salt was delicious +_+
A fridge just for soju
My boyfriend and I were drinking, and the soju just kept staying cold instead of warming up. So I checked — ✨ a soju-only fridge!!! Now I get why this place is famous as a company-dinner spot in Namcheon-dong..
After we finished the sirloin, they started grilling the rib meat too, but we said we wanted to take it slow and grill it ourselves, so they just helped adjust the heat haha. Thank you 🫶🏻 The rib meat was also so, so good. I actually preferred the rib meat over the sirloin, while my boyfriend said the sirloin was better haha. Either way, both cuts were top-grade hanwoo — the best hanwoo I've had in a while ✨
I usually can't eat much beef because it feels greasy, but Yong Hanu's beef had such good quality that it was savory and juicy and I ate it all with no trouble 🤍
The restrooms were separated for men and women, and there was even dental floss haha. Thoughtful right down to the end..
Is Yong Hanu Namcheon good for a date, family meal or company dinner?
It's been a while since I had such good-looking hanwoo, and even though we drank a lot, I had zero hangover the next day lol. It's top-grade hanwoo at a fair price, and the atmosphere and service went above and beyond that :)
