Starting my after-work visit to Omil, a Western-style restaurant full of cute details~~! With the breeze finally turning cooler these days, I had dinner with my boyfriend after work at Omil, a Seongsu Station restaurant just 541m from Exit 1.
I'd had my eye on this Seongsu pasta spot for a while — it looked like a great place for a relaxed brunch or lunch, or to enjoy Western food comfortably with kids. It also takes Naver reservations, but we went as a walk-in without booking. We got there around 7pm and there was a table free, so we got seated with no wait at all.
Bottom line: the place had such a cute aesthetic and the food delivered too. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy Seongsu pasta and omurice with cute plating, or who's looking for a spot for brunch or a relaxed visit with kids.
How to get to Omil Seongsu from Seongsu Station, and where to park
Omil Seongsu is at 1F 101, 37-1 Achasan-ro 5-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, about a 7-minute walk (541m) from Exit 1 of Seongsu Station. If you're driving, there's no dedicated parking at the restaurant, but the Seongsu 2-ga 3-dong public parking lot is just 30 seconds away on foot.
From Exit 1 of Seongsu Station, turn right past the KT store, walk about 4 minutes, and you'll see the Seongsu 2-ga 3-dong Community Center on your left. Go into the alley beside the community center for another 2 minutes or so, and you'll find Omil Seongsu in a red brick building.
If you're driving, the restaurant doesn't cover parking fees itself. But the Seongsu 2-ga 3-dong public parking lot is just 30 seconds away on foot, and you can also use the Bukseongsu private parking lot.

Omil Seongsu is a Western-style restaurant with sleek gray-toned interiors and cozy booth seating. Push open the door with its curved wooden handle, and you'll see a smiley-face logo on the wall along with the phrase "Enjoy your Meal & Do more what makes you happy."

A 7pm walk-in at Omil Seongsu: was there a wait?
The tablet by Omil Seongsu's entrance displayed a message: "No wait — please come on in now!" It also explained that when there is a wait, you can register through Catch Table or get a KakaoTalk notification.
We ordered the Oh!Set 2-person set, choosing two mains, one side, and two drinks.

That day at Omil Seongsu we had the gochujang butter pasta, the chong-chong-chong! rubber duck omurice, and for our side we chose the buckwheat soba maki version of the Omil soba maki. For drinks, we ordered zero-sugar cola and plain sparkling water.
Gochujang butter pasta (K-butter pasta)
A creamy orange sauce topped generously with chunks of flat iron steak. The savory depth of gochujang combined with the richness of butter tasted exactly as good as I'd imagined, with a softness reminiscent of rosé pasta.
Chong-chong-chong! rubber duck omurice
The fluffy egg-wrapped omurice was topped with quail eggs styled to look like ducks bobbing on top — so cute. The demi-glace sauce paired well with the moist egg, and best of all, they gave us a rubber duck bath toy to go with it, which made it extra special.
Buckwheat soba maki
Buckwheat noodles and Japanese-style rolled egg wrapped in seaweed — light and clean, this was actually my favorite of the three. It tasted even better with a bit of wasabi.
