Pangyo brunch café with white truffle pasta: Meolmeol Pangyo

The white truffle pasta was the best dish. On a late weekday afternoon, I wanted brunch somewhere with a nice atmosphere, so I visited Meolmeol Pangyo (멀멀 판교) in Pangyo.

The cute interior and pretty terrace were memorable, and I thought it would be a great café for a couple’s date or an outing with your dog. This time, the two of us ordered three dishes to share. I’ll go over everything from the prices and flavors to the reserved seating and terrace atmosphere.

What were the terrace and reserved seats like?

Thanks to the pretty terrace and our pre-assigned table for two, we could enjoy brunch comfortably.

Meolmeol Pangyo’s terrace was especially pretty. With its yellow tables and chairs, it felt bright and fresh. On a nice day, I think brunch at a terrace table would feel even better.

Since I visited with a reservation, they had saved an assigned table for two, so we could sit comfortably. It was late on a weekday afternoon, so the café was not full, but I heard that table time is limited to 1 hour and 20 minutes when there is a wait.

Inside Meolmeol Pangyo

The flowers on every table and the cute décor created such a pleasant atmosphere. Meolmeol Pangyo has a bright overall color palette, so the mood felt lovely from the moment I walked in.

Each table had a flower arrangement, which made the dining space feel even cozier and prettier. The little decorative details were adorable too, and the bright, warm feel lifted my mood even though I visited late on a weekday afternoon.

I love having brunch at cafés with a nice atmosphere, and Meolmeol Pangyo was a place where I liked not only the food but the space itself. It suited a couple’s date really well, and the pretty tables and flowers made a lovely backdrop for photos. They also have high chairs, so it seems like a nice place to visit with a baby.

The brunch dishes we ordered for two

The two of us ordered three dishes: pasta, lasagna, and a salad. We had the White Truffle Pasta, Grandma's Lasagna, and Raspberry Endive Salad.

The meal came to ₩65,000 for two, or around ₩32,500 per person. It was nice to share all three dishes because we could enjoy a variety of flavors.

Why the White Truffle Pasta was my favorite

Personally, the White Truffle Pasta was the most delicious dish of this meal. The truffle flavor and cream sauce worked so well together, and the sauce had just the right amount of richness. I think anyone who likes cream pasta would enjoy it. Of the three dishes, this pasta stayed with me the most. The sauce was wonderfully rich and thick without feeling heavy.

How the lasagna and salad tasted

The lasagna came with a baguette, and the salad was refreshing. Grandma's Lasagna was served with baguette slices, which were great for dipping into the sauce. Eating the lasagna with the baguette added a different texture and made it feel even more delicious.

I ordered the Raspberry Endive Salad because the name itself was unusual, and the plating was pretty. It tasted fresh, and the fragrant peach made it enjoyable and bright.

Having the salad alongside richer dishes like cream pasta and lasagna made for a nice combination.

Mini yuzu bingsu from the Naver review event

Finishing with mini yuzu bingsu (shaved ice) was a lovely palate cleanser after the meal. We received it through a Naver review event; the milk snowflake-style shaved ice was topped with yuzu sauce, so it was sweet and refreshing.

Maybe because I had just eaten pasta and lasagna, the fresh flavor of the yuzu sauce worked even better. It was a good dessert to have at the end. If you are planning to join a review event, it would be a good idea to check whether it is running and what is being offered before visiting. I checked the small sign on the table.

Where should you park?

You can receive one hour of parking support if you use the Baekhyeon-dong Café Street Public Parking Lot. If you park there and bring your parking receipt to the Meolmeol Pangyo counter after your meal, they say one hour can be validated. I worried about parking too, so it was convenient to be able to use the public lot and receive support from the café. If you visit, do not forget to bring your parking receipt. Since payment is handled at the table, it seems like something that would be easy to forget.
