I visited Bulnaneun Jjukkumi (불나는쭈꾸미), the Yuryang-dong branch famous for jjukkumi (stir-fried webfoot octopus) in Cheonan 🔥 You can pick your spice level from 1 to 4 to suit your taste, and there are set menus like the hot stone pot rice set and the perilla noodle soup set, so it's a great spot to try jjukkumi in different ways 💯

Parking and the exterior — mountain views and an outdoor waiting area
Bulnaneun Jjukkumi Yuryang branch has its own parking lot, so you can park without any worries. Yuryang-dong has lovely green trees and mountain scenery — it's really nice! It's especially good for taking parents or celebrating a special occasion ෆ⸒⸒

The weather was great too, so it felt like a little outing ☁
Next to the restaurant there's even a small swing and a pretty outdoor table space where you can sit and chat while waiting ✨
Inside Bulnaneun Jjukkumi — a hall split left and right, plus private rooms

Walking in, the hall is split wide left and right. I visited at an in-between hour after lunch, but customers kept coming even then. It's clearly a well-known local spot in Yuryang-dong!

The right side also has a wide hall with separate room seating, which looks great for a family gathering in a private room 😋
There's a generous dedicated space with phone chargers you can use, so you can charge comfortably while eating 📲

What's on the self-serve bar: cheongyang chilies, garlic, baek-kimchi
Bulnaneun Jjukkumi Yuryang branch also has a spacious self-serve bar! The owner sets the basic side dishes on the table first, and anything you run low on you can refill yourself as needed 🫳🏻 There's also cheongyang chili/garlic, baek-kimchi (white kimchi) and more, so help yourself to whatever suits your taste ✔️

If you come with kids or for a family gathering, baby chairs are available. Also, if you order fried items and have leftovers, there are self-service wrapping bags in the self-serve zone — such a thoughtful touch!
🚻 The restrooms are separated into men's and women's inside, clean and easy to use.
Ordering at the kiosk: set menus, mains and sides

- Set menu
- Main menu
- Sides
It's broadly split into three categories! The set menus at Bulnaneun Jjukkumi are put together so well that you can't help but order one 💁🏻♀️

If you just order the jjukkumi main dish, there are also noodle add-ins and fried rice available '◡' Plus there's pork cutlet, dumplings, and cheese balls that kids love ••! Lots of variety to pair with the jjukkumi 😊
📝 Order 📝 Stir-fried jjukkumi (mid-spice) + perilla noodle soup + rice, 2-person set _ ₩32,000 / Cola _ ₩2,000 / Total: ₩34,000. That's what I ordered!
✔️ Benefits of jjukkumi: fatigue recovery / brain development / diet / vision improvement / stamina boost / anemia prevention / hangover relief. You'd be a fool not to eat it, right?
How spicy is the mid level? Just a bit hotter than Shin Ramyun

At Bulnaneun Jjukkumi, you can only choose spice level for 2 or more people, so you can't pick a single different spice per set item. I went with mid-level! (a little spicier than Shin Ramyun) for my jjukkumi. They set out side dishes that go great mixed in with the stir-fried jjukkumi ㅎ0ㅎ (anything short, refill at the self-serve bar)

I don't usually eat oi-naengguk (cold cucumber soup), but this was so sweet and tangy, it was really good 🥒

After a short wait, the stir-fried jjukkumi arrived! You can see how plump the octopus pieces are ••🫢 !!
Just put white rice + assorted vegetables + stir-fried jjukkumi into a wide bowl to your taste and mix it up 🍚
★ Tip: Pile the jjukkumi high, and load up on the vegetables too ★
You know vegetables and jjukkumi go so well together. Especially the crunchy radish salad and lettuce — that's the kick 🔥

The perilla kalguksu in the set — broth finished to the last spoonful
Next up, the perilla noodle soup (deulkkae-kalguksu) included in the set! It looked simpler than expected at first, so I thought
