Mullae lamb rib buffet with cumin dip and sherbet: Yangnam Yanghwa
In short
Yangnam Yanghwa is an all-you-can-eat lamb rib restaurant on Yeongdeungpo-ro 18-gil, near Mullae Station in Seoul. Two of us ordered the Premium Lamb Dining set (38,900 won per person) and ate T-bone steak and shoulder rack as the staff grilled them at the table, refilled the T-bone once, then finished with seafood ramyeon and sherbet. The lamb at Yangnam Yanghwa was tender with no gamey smell, and the range of sauces made it an easy first lamb meal for a nervous friend.

My boyfriend and I have gotten really into lamb lately hahahaha. After eating delicious yangkkochi (grilled lamb skewers), I got so curious about the other cuts! Turns out a lamb spot opened up in our neighborhood, so I made a reservation and went! It's a place where you can get unlimited lamb ribs for a whole 2 hours! This is Yangnam Yanghwa (양남양화)!

I usually take the bus from near my house to Mullae Station for work, but this was my first time actually walking down this street — why does it have such a good vibe,,,? hahaha I feel like I'll be coming around here a lot from now on.

Since I'd made a reservation in advance, they had our seat all set up right away! They have a main building and an annex, and we used the main building!

There were partitions like this, so even though it's an outdoor-facing space, it felt really private, which was great! Plus, there's currently an opening event with drink discounts and a free drink or highball for writing a review, so make sure to join the event and get the perk!

Side dishes and the five sauces

The side dishes were set up super fast! Mint jelly, wasabi, mayo, cumin, salt, and some kind of soy sauce? Plus pickled gungchae (mugwort stem pickles) and sweet-and-sour braised radish! Every single side dish went well with the meat, and above all I loved how many sauce options there were!

They gave us a welcome drink that had a lemon scent and was a refreshing 3% ABV. And for my boyfriend, a Suntory Highball!
T-bone steak and shoulder rack grilled at your table
At Yangnam Yanghwa, the staff grilled both the T-bone steak and the shoulder rack right at our table. Before grilling, they even helped us take photos, and kindly explained each cut in detail! Since we don't know much about lamb, we were just amazed listening to the explanations,,,hahaha.

Best of all, since they grill everything for you, you don't have to worry about burning the meat or timing the cook — you can just relax and chat!

The T-bone steak came out first! It was grilled to about 70% doneness, and they said to tell them if we wanted it cooked more after tasting it~! I've always eaten lamb fully cooked through, so I was curious about meat at around 70%.

They told us to dip the first bite in salt, and it felt like we were eating beef! I was worried the lamb wouldn't suit my boyfriend's taste, but it had no gamey smell and was so tender and delicious.

And then the shoulder rack! This was the cut I was most curious about, and the moment I took a bite, it tasted just like yangkkochi hahahaha. I actually like fattier cuts, so there was no resistance at all, just like eating yangkkochi — and especially when dipped in cumin, it went down so easily.

They also grilled the vegetables, mushrooms, and fruit at a pace matching how fast we were eating, which was so convenient! It goes really well with onion too,,,👍💜
Which cut is best for a refill?

My boyfriend said the T-bone had a stronger lamb flavor, so we refilled the T-bone once more! Even on the refill, the meat was just as good as the first round~!
Seafood ramyeon, 7,000 won
I'd seen a lot of reviews saying the seafood ramyeon was delicious, so I ordered it! My boyfriend guessed it was jin-myeon, but when we asked, it turned out to be Shin Ramyun hahahahaha.

It had way more seafood in it than I expected, which was great for settling our stomachs after all that meat! The broth was spicy and so good!
Sherbet to finish the meal

And then the sherbet dessert came out! My boyfriend said it tasted like jelly to him — I gave up my share since I was still finishing off the meat and ramyeon haha. This seems like a great place to visit for anniversaries too — I recommend Yangnam Yanghwa!
