Sinbu-dong Cheonan café for pistachio canelé takeout: Brewers Coffee
In short
Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch is a baked-goods café on Meokgeori 9-gil in Sinbu-dong, Cheonan. The order was a salted caramel financier (₩3,500), a Dubai chocolate financier (₩4,000), a pistachio canelé (₩4,000) and a pecan espresso madeleine (₩3,500) with an iced americano, taken out and eaten in the car — and the madeleine's name tag turned out to be swapped. Just one bite, I promise! I was hunting for a café with good financiers in Sinbu-dong, Cheonan, and ended up at Brewers Coffee. There were so many kinds I couldn't decide, so I tried the financiers and coffee myself and I'll give you the honest rundown here :)

What is Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch like inside?
Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch is a café on Meokgeori 9-gil in Sinbu-dong, Cheonan. When I searched for cafés nearby, the financier photos that popped up looked seriously good... so I went to check it out, and the café's atmosphere was totally my type too! 💘

They really nailed that overseas-café concept! This just puts me in a good mood ❤️🔥
Brewers Coffee Cheonan menu: financiers, canelé, flan and madeleines
Financiers

Salted caramel is the foundation of the financier!!
Canelé
A pistachio canelé with a whole new look!
Flan

I was curious what flan actually was — turns out it's a dessert similar to an egg tart! Flan is the French version and egg tart is the Portuguese one, and they differ a bit in dough and filling. Apparently flan uses a taller, thicker tart shell packed with vanilla-bean custard, giving it a 'heavy and chewy' texture — or so they say.

The swapped madeleine name tag at Brewers Coffee
There was a big mix-up here! The two madeleines' name tags got swapped, and I bought the one labeled 'pecan espresso' because I was so curious how it could look like that — but I was surprised to find a different madeleine inside! It really did taste of pecan and espresso though, so that's when I realized the tags had been switched. Which just goes to show how distinct the flavor was! >(

Brewers Coffee drinks: what is the signature?
Here's the drink menu! I got an iced americano to go with the sweets. The signature coffee menu looked tasty too~
Brewers Coffee (BREWERS COFFEE) ₩6,500. The café's signature latte, a sweet mocha base topped with smooth almond cream. I'd recommend dipping your baked goods into the nutty almond cream.
041 Coffee (041 COFFEE) ₩6,500. A latte with a strong shot poured over smooth, walnut-flavored milk. Named after the local area code '041,' it's meant to express Cheonan's everyday life in coffee form. Once the espresso settles, a sip brings deep sweetness and nutty richness.

This looks so good! Next time I visit and dine in, I'm trying it!

There were quite a lot of customers! Since I was taking out, they gave me a name tag like this and I waited outside or off to the side.

There's even a black-and-white photo booth outside 🤍🖤

Salted caramel financier, ₩3,500
This is exactly the financier I've been looking for, just from the look of it — hard on the outside, chewy on the inside. Crisp outside, moist inside. And the flavor of browned butter and caramel, paired with a chunk of salty salt — a great combo.

Dubai chocolate financier, ₩4,000

I'm still Team Dubai. Whenever I see 'Dubai' on the menu I just grab it — and I'm so glad the price of Dubai chocolate has come down lately. The buttery financier is loaded with a huge amount of that Dubai flavor! Crunchy, nutty, and so good!!

Pistachio canelé, ₩4,000

There's no way I could skip this look. Loaded with nutty pistachio, and I think it's held together with white chocolate? — it came through tasting like cream, which I loved.

Pecan espresso madeleine, ₩3,500
As I mentioned, the name tag was wrong, so I was thrown off at first — this wasn't the madeleine I ordered! But the flavor really is pecan plus espresso. A brand-new madeleine flavor!!
And the iced americano that accompanied all these desserts ☕️ — above average in taste 🌟🌟🌟🌟. I normally only drink coffee alongside sweets, and even as someone who doesn't know coffee well, I enjoyed it. My husband, who's a real coffee person, gave it a good rating of 'above average,' haha.
