Gusan Station takeout café with strawberry choco waffle: Ward Coffee
In short
Ward Coffee Gusan Station Branch is a takeout café in Eunpyeong, Seoul, a 3-minute walk from Gusan Station Exit 2. We took away the strawberry choco waffle (4,500 won), a 1-liter Magnum latte (4,400 won) and Wardi whole-potato and sweet-potato breads (2,500 won each) — the waffle took about 15 minutes and came out crisp, and the potato bread had a whole potato baked inside. Where is Ward Coffee Gusan Station Branch?
Ward Coffee Gusan Station Branch is a Gusan Station café at 129 Seooreung-ro, 1st floor unit 2, Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul. It's a 3-minute walk from Gusan Station Exit 2, so it's easy to reach. Hours are Mon–Sat 08:00–21:00, and Sunday 09:00–19:30.

The potato bread I used to eat in Chuncheon is now in Gusan too! Feels like I won't have to go far for potato bread anymore. This is the kind of place I know I'll be back at soon — cute little details all around the store to look at, plus waffles, a wide range of desserts, and 1-liter drinks all at reasonable prices. Here's my review of this Gusan Station café.

The yellow sign really catches your eye. The yellow-and-blue combo stands out even from a distance. The store didn't look big from outside, so let's head in.

There's seating outside too, which seems great for waiting on a takeout order or just enjoying the cool weather these days.

Inside Ward Coffee: the small space and mascot Wardi
I assumed Ward Coffee Gusan Station Branch was takeout-only inside, but there are actually a few tables, not many but they're there. And of course, being a coffee shop, the mascot Wardi is shown drinking coffee — Wardi is apparently not a bear but a quokka, haha.

The interior is cute and the space is used well — all sorts of plushies and figures around to look at, which made it fun to browse.

This is the mascot of Ward Coffee, Wardi. The office-worker Wardi plush keyring is available at ₩5,000 off with a ₩15,000+ purchase, or ₩3,000 off with a ₩20,000+ purchase.

Ward Coffee Gusan Station menu and prices

There's a wide variety of desserts too — mini bungeoppang (fish-shaped bread), churros, ham cheese sandwiches, bagels, you name it, at this Eunpyeong café.

One nice touch is the receipt photo booth — lots of people seem to have joined in.

Strawberry choco waffle and 1-liter Magnum latte to go
I ordered takeout from Ward Coffee Gusan Station Branch: two Wardi whole potato breads at ₩2,500 each, a Wardi sweet potato bread at ₩2,500, a strawberry choco waffle at ₩4,500, a 1-liter Magnum latte at ₩4,400, and a plum ade.
Wardi whole potato bread 2.5 x2 / Wardi sweet potato bread 2.5 / Strawberry choco waffle 4.5 / 1L Magnum latte 4.4 / Plum ade

The strawberry choco waffle took about 15 minutes since it's a waffle, but it was worth the wait — crispy and delicious.

Once plated, the diameter was really quite large. It's cut into four pieces, and with the strawberry-chocolate combo it tasted a bit like a choco-covered ice bar, haha. There were whole strawberries inside too.

The owner's drawing skills are also impressive — touched by little details like that!! The latte was nutty and delicious too. And above all, the 1-liter size — great!!

How were the Wardi whole-potato and sweet-potato breads?
The Wardi whole potato bread and sweet potato bread at Ward Coffee Gusan Station Branch are ₩2,500 each — don't they really look like an actual potato and sweet potato? I remember being surprised the first time I saw potato bread that looked exactly like a potato, and Ward Coffee Gusan Station Branch's version is just as convincing, haha.

There's actually a whole potato baked inside, so you get a nice bite to it, which I liked.
Is Ward Coffee Gusan Station Branch worth a visit?
Ward Coffee Gusan Station Branch is a Gusan Station café that offers a wide variety of desserts and drinks at reasonable prices, right in Eunpyeong.
