Songdo sushi restaurant for kids’ set meals: Sushi Doku The Songdo
In short
Sushi Doku The Songdo is a sushi restaurant in Yeonsu, Incheon, where families can order both sushi set meals and a kids’ set. We visited at 5 PM on a weekday with a 31-month-old, received a high chair and children’s tableware, and ordered without wasabi or spicy udon powder. Verdict: a generous, satisfying choice for a family meal.

Why I took my 31-month-old to Sushi Doku The Songdo
Sushi Doku is suuuper famous for sushi in Songdo! It’s somewhere we go from time to time, so I even wrote about it once before haha. But this time, I brought Guttaengi along and tried the kids’ set meal! She still can’t eat raw fish, so at conveyor-belt sushi places she only eats things like natto gimbap (seaweed rice roll), and I couldn’t really bring her along. Sushi Doku has a kids’ set, though, so we gave it a go haha.

Even though we went in right at 5 PM on a weekday, there were people waiting for the break time to end. I guess popular places are busy whether it’s a weekday or weekend :)
Guttaengi gets so excited when I say we’re going to a sushi restaurant even though she can’t eat sushi... She was dancing while we waited a moment before the 5 PM opening haha.

A Songdo family meal with a high chair and children’s tableware
Sushi Doku, one of Incheon’s great places to eat, of course has high chairs!!! Ahh, I love it. The fact that a sushi restaurant like this has baby items ready, you know... The high chair was new, too... They opened the plastic wrapping for us...

They even prepared children’s tableware for us~ We wondered what to get~~~

This is what we ordered! With the regular sushi set, kids’ set, and lemonade, it came to ₩53,200. But honestly, I’ve been to Sushi Doku so many times, and this price is just unbelievable, you know? It tastes good, and I’m always amazed by how generous it is... The reason I don’t really like conveyor-belt sushi is that when you’re eating plates for ₩1,900 and ₩2,300, two people can quickly spend ₩100,000 (or not? haha). And honestly, I haven’t had many places where I thought, wow, this is delicious...

The bowls and spoons were cute too, all set out nicely... Sushi Doku is such a great place for a Songdo family meal.

When will I ever get to have a drink at Sushi Doku? I always have to drive, or Guttaengi is with me...? Sushi and drinks are only a dream for me ㅠ If I come on my day off, I have to eat and then go pick Guttaengi up from daycare... Writing this suddenly makes life feel a little sad^^ haha.

The ₩19,900 sushi set and a child-friendly order
Ta-da~ The sushi was ready in no time. I mean, how can this spread be ₩19,900~~~~~?

Just! In! Case! Not that it would happen, but!!! I had the wasabi left off the sushi in case Guttaengi wanted some, and the staff thoughtfully asked whether we wanted the spicy powder left out of the udon too, so we did that as well.

When I asked, “Want to try sushi?” she was too into the lemonade and said she only wanted lemonade^^;

Yummyyyyy!~!~!~!
I’m truly a salmon fanatic, you know...? Surprisingly, it’s hard to find a place with really good salmon... Sushi Doku, one of Songdo, Incheon’s great places to eat, has delicious salmon sushi too. My next goal is coming here alone on a day off and ordering a menu with only salmon...

What comes with the ₩9,900 kids’ set
Oooh wow~!~~! Look at this kids’ set. This is ₩9,900;; There are two pieces each of egg, inari, and shrimp sushi, plus the must-have pork cutlet and fries, fried shrimp, salad, and egg. Anywhere else, you’d have to pay at least ₩15,000 for this...

Guttaengi normally eats dinner around 7:30 PM, but maybe eating at 5 PM was too early because she only had a little^^ Yes... I figured that would happen, so Mom ordered a small menu.. haha.

Taking the shrimp off shrimp sushi to eat it? Just have a regular meal~~~~

There isn’t a single item in Sushi Doku’s kids’ set that feels like it was just thrown in.

The pork cutlet was moist, crispy, and totally delicious. Mom and Dad happily ate everything Guttaengi didn’t!!!! You can order it until before elementary school, so we’re going to come really, really often before then.

The fried shrimp were nice and plump too... >.< We came to get her practicing at sushi restaurants before our trip to Japan, but I guess she’ll just eat natto when we go~

A satisfying family meal in Songdo
We had such a satisfying family meal at Sushi Doku, one of Songdo’s great places to eat. When friends ask me for a Songdo sushi restaurant recommendation, this is the first place I suggest! Parking, location, price, taste—there’s nothing missing... >.<
