Why a failed popup draw led to lamb in Yeouido

The Hyundai Seoul in Yeouido runs all kinds of popups, right? So this time too... I made a real point of visiting the TFT popup to try to get a Yasuo card, and I did all the missions well so I got a lot of draw chances and had high hopes — but in the end I failed...

After failing, I was so drained and out of energy that I really wanted something delicious for dinner at least.

While thinking about what to eat, instead of a regular dinner I thought about what would go well with a beer at a Yeouido bar. This time I wanted something a little different, so I looked around — usually in Yeouido I go for samgyeopsal, sashimi, or izakaya snacks, but that day I was suddenly craving lamb, so I searched for it.

That's how I found Nani while looking for good lamb spots in Yeouido.

Nani isn't really a dedicated lamb restaurant — it's more of a Yeouido bar with a great atmosphere and izakaya vibes, offering a variety of snacks and drinks. But it also sells lamb shoulder rack, so I liked that I could enjoy a proper meal and drinks together.

Where Nani Yeouido Branch is and what hours it keeps

Nani, this Yeouido bar, is incredibly close to Exit 3 of Yeouido Station.

It's on the 3rd floor of the S-TRENUE Building at 37 Gukjegeumyung-ro 2-gil, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. You'll see an escalator right at the building entrance — just take that up.

It's really easy to reach from Yeouido Station, so it's great for meeting friends, and also great for solo drinking like I did.

I'm not an office worker in Yeouido, but even so, accessibility really matters when you make weekday evening plans, right? Next time I should visit with a friend who works in Yeouido.

Nani opens at 17:00, which I love since it's early, and runs until 02:00, with last order at 01:00 — keep that in mind. Also, it's closed every Sunday.

Nani's menu lineup and the best order for drinking alone

Nani has a wide variety of menu items — sashimi, grilled dishes, specialty dishes, stir-fries, fried dishes, nabe (hot pot), and rice meals, among others.

There's a menu board at the entrance and another one inside, so you can decide what to order before you even sit down.

I ordered the lamb shoulder rack and fries, plus a draft beer to go with it, and it healed my tired heart.

What the curtain-and-partition seating is like

The first thing I noticed walking into Nani was how surprisingly relaxed the atmosphere was.

Instead of tables packed together like a typical meat restaurant, the tables here are somewhat separated, with curtains or partitions dividing up the space. Being able to enjoy lamb in an izakaya with such a nice atmosphere — I loved it!

Meat restaurants or dedicated lamb spots usually don't have this kind of relaxed vibe, but this place is great whether you're drinking alone, with a friend, or just having a light dinner with a drink.

Nani is also running a review event — post a photo and you get a yogurt ice cream, which is such a nice touch.

Draft beer and fries dusted with seasoning powder

First to come out after ordering were the draft beer and fries — and the portion of fries was seriously huge.

The fries were all different shapes, so each bite had a different texture, which I loved, and they were dusted with a seasoning powder that made them so delicious.

It was really enough for four people ordering about two menu items. I tried to finish everything without leaving any, but between finishing the lamb and drinking my draft beer, I couldn't quite finish all the fries — still, I enjoyed them so much.

And then the lamb shoulder rack arrived... wow. The quality was insane.

Two sauces came out for dipping, plus lamb grilled to perfection! The shoulder rack was absolutely amazing.

The shoulder rack portion was generous and grilled so well that I ate until I was full. You just cut it into pieces as you go — the bone is only on one side, so it was easy to eat.

It had been a while since I'd had such delicious lamb, and it put me in such a good mood.

Even as a first stop for drinks, the portions were generous and the food was delicious, so next time I should come back with a friend.
