Since it's near the Sejong Government Complex, it gets busy between 11:30 and 1:00, so much so that I was glad I'd made a reservation. There were tons of customers during the lunch rush, so reservations here are a must, weekday or weekend!

Table set for the Bapkkot Teukjeongsik for two

What comes with the new Bapkkot Teukjeongsik for two?

🥢 What we ordered This time we ordered the new Bapkkot Teukjeongsik (₩30,000) for two. It's the Bapkkot Teukseon course with octopus shrimp stir-fry added, and I was really satisfied with how full the course felt.

First-round appetizers including perilla buckwheat noodles and boiled pork

First came the appetizer round: salad, perilla buckwheat noodles, boiled pork, savory pancake, miyeok (seaweed) noodle japchae, tofu with kimchi, and dried eggplant stir-fry tteokbokki.

Main table with rice and namul side dishes

Gangdoenjang from Bapkkot Farm vegetables and the main spread

After finishing the appetizers, the main table was set in earnest — rice, namul (seasoned vegetable) side dishes, gangdoenjang (spicy soybean paste) and doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew), plus octopus shrimp stir-fry and minari tteokgalbi, all laid out generously.

Healthy banchan like chwinamul, samchae namul, perilla leaves, bangpul namul, cucumber salad, and nuts were served neatly, and with the added octopus shrimp stir-fry, the spread felt even more abundant.

They say the gangdoenjang is made with seasonal mushrooms, potatoes, peppers, and green onions from South Chungcheong, all grown directly at Bapkkot Farm — you can really taste that healthy, honest flavor.

It wasn't too salty, so mixing plenty into the rice made for a clean, delicious bite. The doenjang jjigae had a clear, refreshing broth too, and it paired really well with the gangdoenjang bibimbap.

The minari tteokgalbi had great texture and flavor, with the minari fragrance blending nicely with the meat's juiciness, and the dried eggplant stir-fry had chewy rice cake coated generously in ground perilla seeds, filling my mouth with nuttiness with every bite.

Receipt review event and where to go after the meal

Note that Bapkkot Hansang, a Sejong favorite, is currently running an event where leaving a Naver receipt review gets you a free piece of minari tteokgalbi.

How about a hearty, well-put-together hanjeongsik meal at Bapkkot Hansang followed by a stroll around Sejong Lake Park? 😊
