Busan hair salon SC curl perm for damaged hair: Billogeu Hair
In short
Billogeu Hair is a one-person hair salon in Yeonji-dong, Busanjin, Busan, run entirely by its owner. Split ends and damaged hair meant Billogeu Hair steered the style toward a natural SC curl instead of the goddess perm first requested, and a cut cleared away the damaged ends so the curls held their shape even after rough drying. A regular perm is 60,000 won and takes about 2 hours, making it a good fit for moms with no time to style.

My hair was seriously at the point where I couldn't put it off any longer hahaha.
The ends were split and damaged in a lot of places, and from just drying it carelessly all the time, the whole thing needed a fix. Plus there's an open class coming up in fall and a conference this week! So yeah, it's time to get my hair done. That's how I ended up at Billogeu Hair, a hair salon in Yeonji-dong, Busan.
Billogeu Hair in Yeonji-dong, Busan: hours, address and parking

- 35 Seongji-ro, 1st floor, Busanjin-gu, Busan, South Korea
- Tue–Sun 10:00–19:00 / closed Mondays
- No dedicated parking, but there are always options (if the Gugak Hall spot is full, there are plenty of older apartment complexes nearby too, haha, no problem)
- One-person salon
Billogeu Hair is a one-person shop run solely by the owner. It had been a while since I went to a solo salon instead of a big chain one, and ah... it's so comfortable hahaha.

With no other customers coming and going and full attention on just one person, the two hours of getting my hair done felt relaxing.

A salon that designs around your face shape and hair condition

Honestly what I wanted was a layered cut with a thick perm! You know, that natural, flowing goddess perm haha. But reality is... when am I ever going to have hair long enough to try a goddess perm haha.
On top of that, my ends were badly split and there was a lot of damage.

Instead of just going with the style I brought in, the owner first looked at the current state of my hair, then matched it to a style that was actually possible in the direction I wanted. So this time I decided on a natural SC-curl!
An owner who puts hair health first

Watching the owner handle and work on my hair, I thought for a second I was watching a chef hahaha. It wasn't like she was just quickly 'getting it done,'
she kept shaping it, checking it carefully, and especially while drying it at the end and setting the shape,
Wow... this owner must genuinely love doing hair.
that's the thought that came to mind.

Why easy styling matters more than looks for a mom's hair

Moms out there will relate, right? Washing your hair in the morning, standing there with a hair dryer styling for ages... I can't do that hahahaha.
Hair that looks good even when you just wash and dry it carelessly — that's what really matters to me. What I liked about this SC-curl was that it wasn't an overly bouncy, exaggerated curl,

it felt like the shape came together naturally overall. Even the damaged ends got cleaned up, so it looked much neater than before,

and even drying it carelessly, the overall shape held up, which matched exactly what I wanted. Someday I'll grow it out and try that goddess perm too...
Before and after: SC curl perm on damaged hair

And it wasn't just the hair I liked — the conversation with the owner flowed so well hahaha. Turns out she's also a parent, so we talked about raising kids and all sorts of things I could relate to,

and when she shared her own experiences, it never felt like too much, it was easy to listen to. She's a great talker too haha, so the hours of getting my hair done didn't feel boring at all. So walking out, you know what I thought?

I basically thought, let's just consider this a friend I'll grow old with and settle in here for good haha.
Billogeu Hair price list: perms, setting perm and color

Personally I thought the prices were reasonable too. Of course it can't be compared to a really old-school neighborhood salon, but compared to today's trendier hair salons, it actually felt like less of a burden on the wallet.
- Regular perm ₩60,000
- Setting perm ₩80,000
- Hair color ₩60,000
- And more ※ additional charge for long hair
Who should book an SC curl perm at Billogeu Hair?
- Moms raising kids in this neighborhood who like a quiet place
- Anyone struggling with style choices because of split ends or damaged hair
- Anyone who wants natural curls without much styling effort
- Anyone who wants a style recommended to fit their face shape
- Anyone looking for a regular hair salon in Yeonji-dong

Until the day my hair's long enough for that goddess perm... next time I'll bring my daughters along.
