Seoul date café in Gwanghwamun for iced vanilla latte: Lemangdoré
In short
Lemangdoré Gwanghwamun is a roastery bakery café on Mugyo-ro in Jung-gu, Seoul, taking up all three floors of the building. The iced americano (6,500 won) is pulled with Blanc beans, while the iced vanilla latte (6,700 won) was switched to Noir beans on a staff recommendation for a nuttier cup, and the pistachio croissant (8,800 won) came loaded with pistachio bits and spread. With a Fritz Hansen lounge to browse on the 3rd floor, Lemangdoré Gwanghwamun makes an easy Gwanghwamun date course.

Lemangdoré is right between Gwanghwamun Station, Jonggak Station, City Hall Station, and Euljiro 1-ga Station! The coffee is great and so is the dessert, so here's an honest review from a certified café addict.

Where is Lemangdoré Gwanghwamun, and what are the hours?
Lemangdoré Gwanghwamun is a café occupying floors 1-3 at 17 Mugyo-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul. It's open daily 08:00-21:00 (coffee last order 20:30).

What is on each of the three floors?
Lemangdoré is a great-vibe café spanning three floors. The 1st floor is for ordering and the coffee & bakery bar, the 2nd floor has a women's restroom and various seating (window seats for one, 2-4 person tables, a large table), and the 3rd floor has a Fritz Hansen showroom, lounge, bakery kitchen, unisex restroom, and a beautiful view.

The 1st-floor ordering kiosk and drip coffee bar
Let me introduce the 1st floor first~ There was a kiosk and a drip coffee zone, and you could also order directly from staff instead of using the kiosk. It looked like you could even sample the drip coffee!

Beans, drip bags and tumblers on sale at Lemangdoré
Lemangdoré also sells pretty goods. Beyond coffee beans, there were drip bags, tumblers, socks, pens, market bags, and more. They also sell silver-plated plates and porcelain cups, so check out their website if you're interested.
Three bean blends and what we ordered
Lemangdoré's beans come in 3 types: Noir, Blanc, and Decaf. We ordered an iced americano (Blanc) for ₩6,500 and an iced vanilla latte (Noir) for ₩6,700.
- Noir (dark chocolate, roasted almond, ripe cherry, forêt noire)
- Blanc (green apple, berry sweetness, clean finish, like summer light)
- Decaf (baked sweet potato, soft sweetness, gentle acidity)
At first I was going to order the iced vanilla latte with Blanc, but staff recommended Noir as a better match, so I switched! Tasting it later, the nutty latte and Noir beans really went well together!
Besides these, there were many other menu items like the signature Ice Cream Float (ice cream meets latte), White Cream Latte (white chocolate in soft cream), and Today's Coffee! There were also plenty of non-coffee options — lattes, teas, and more!
- Crème de Marron (fragrant Earl Grey cream with cozy chestnut latte)
- Norwegian Wood (matcha strawberry latte inspired by Murakami Haruki's 'Norwegian Wood')

They even use a La Marzocco machine! I was looking forward to how good the coffee would taste~

The bakery display and gift wrapping
The bakery looks really appetizing too, right? There were so many kinds!

They can gift-wrap items beautifully too, so it might be nice to give as a gift to someone you're grateful for this Chuseok!
Apparently Lemangdoré's madeleines are currently offered as VIP gifts by the Italian fashion house Gucci!
This is the 1st floor space~

How does the 8,800 won pistachio croissant taste?
Here are the drinks we ordered along with the pistachio croissant! We'd already eaten and were just going to have drinks, but seeing that visual, I ordered it without even realizing haha (the pistachio croissant is ₩8,800). Doesn't it look completely irresistible??

It's a pistachio croissant loaded with pistachio bits, full of that raw pistachio flavor!! Absolutely delicious — layered inside, soft yet crispy, with pistachio spread in the middle making it feel even richer~

2nd-floor seating and floor-to-ceiling windows
This is the 2nd floor space, made up of seating for 1, 2, and 4-plus people!

With the floor-to-ceiling windows, it was also nice for watching the outside view.
The 3rd-floor Fritz Hansen showroom and lounge
This is the 3rd floor space — a showroom shared by Lemangdoré and the world-renowned Danish furniture maker Fritz Hansen!
It was so nice looking at the beautiful furniture. The 3rd floor lounge can also be booked for group events~

I was busy looking at all the pretty pictures, decor, and lighting throughout! Haha. And Lemangdoré uses Bang & Olufsen speakers for everything~ (even the speaker in the restroom!!)
The coffee was really delicious and the desserts too — so glad to find my forever café at Lemangdoré Gwanghwamun! Would visit again 100000000%!! ❤️🔥
