City Hall Station café for latte art and butter scone: Lemangdoré
In short
Lemangdoré Gwanghwamun is a large bakery café spread over three floors on Mugyo-ro in Jung-gu, Seoul, a 4-minute walk from City Hall Station Exit 4. Visiting with her mom, the writer ordered an Americano (iced or hot) for 5,500 won, a hot latte for 6,300 won and an original butter scone for 4,200 won, and got latte art on the hot latte plus a scone that was crisp outside and soft inside. Each floor of Lemangdoré has a different mood, so it works as a quiet coffee shop in Seoul for work as well as a dessert stop.

A café dessert spot in City Hall, Gwanghwamun! This is the big café 'Lemangdoré Gwanghwamun' ☕️
Where is Lemangdoré Gwanghwamun and what are its hours?
Lemangdoré Gwanghwamun is located on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors at 17 Mugyo-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul. It's open 8:00–21:00, with coffee orders closing at 20:30.
Gwanghwamun café dessert spot 'Lemangdoré Gwanghwamun'! I visited a café that's just a 4-minute walk from City Hall Station Exit 4. Since it's right near the station, accessibility is amazing!

How to order at the 1st-floor kiosk before heading up to floors 2 and 3
This City Hall café Lemangdoré has three floors total, and it's quite spacious. It's a trendy yet clean café where you can enjoy a different mood on each floor.
The trendy first-floor interior! You buy your dessert and drinks on the 1st floor, then head up to 2F or 3F. All kinds of desserts were laid out, including a whole bunch of madeleines that would also make great gifts!

You order at the kiosk in front of the entrance. It has pictures so it was easy to pick things out. You can also change the language ✨

Madeleines, scones, pies, tarts, and more — such a variety of desserts! Aren't the shapes and colors so pretty..? There's also a wide range of drinks.
The coffee beans change day to day, so there's a coffee of the day. Not just plain coffee — this City Hall café lets you enjoy high-quality bean coffee!

Overall it gives off this kind of vibe. Isn't the atmosphere so pretty? The staff were also super kind. We quickly ordered our menu and dashed up to the 2nd floor to grab a seat!

What we ordered at Lemangdoré and what it cost
- Americano ICE ₩5,500
- Americano HOT ₩5,500
- Latte HOT ₩6,300
- Original Butter Scone ₩4,200
This is what we ordered.

Hot latte with latte art, 6,300 won
It's been a while since I saw latte art like this — being a coffee-focused shop, they seem to put real care into every bean and every piece of art. The latte was warm and nutty, so delicious. Above all, it went perfectly with the scone.
Besides the scone, there were all sorts of other desserts, and I think any of them would pair well with the latte too. Totally certified latte spot...

Original butter scone, 4,200 won: crisp outside, soft inside
A crisp-outside, soft-inside original scone — it's basically a universal rule that if the basic dessert is good, everything else is good too, right?
The outside was crunchy with sugar on top for pure sweetness, but the inside of the scone was completely soft. A nutty, soft original scone that I really liked. I went with my mom, and even she said this scone was so delicious. A scone approved even by my picky mom!!!

Coffee beans and tumblers on the 1st floor and stairway
The 1st floor interior! Next to the counter, they sell coffee beans and tumblers. I browsed while waiting for the order, and the tumblers were so cute!

The stairs have such a nice feel too, haha. There are three floors in total — now here are the 2nd floor photos!

What the 2nd-floor window seats are like
Isn't the atmosphere so pretty? A refined yet simple interior mood. There are quite a lot of tables, so it's comfortable for having coffee, and the floor-to-ceiling windows make it nice for people-watching outside too. It's the perfect space for working quietly. It felt cozy and warm.
I heard that in fall you get a view of yellow ginkgo trees — makes me want to come back once autumn arrives 🍂

What is the 3rd floor like for working quietly?
Here's the 3rd floor interior. Compared to the 1st and 2nd floors, it felt greener and cooler with its floor-to-ceiling windows. Since it's right in front of City Hall Station and Gwanghwamun, there were a lot of foreign visitors, and when I went, plenty of people were also there quietly getting work done.

Final thoughts on Lemangdoré Gwanghwamun

Great accessibility being near the station, and the atmosphere is even better, so it's the kind of place I want to stop by every time I'm at City Hall Station for dessert!
