Gimcheongja Maeun Galbijjim Seohyeon Station Branch is a spicy galbijjim (braised ribs) restaurant on the 2nd floor of Cheonji Officetel, close to Seohyeon Station. Being so near the station made it super easy to find! Parking is available too, so I parked there 🚗🚗 There's also a public lot near the station, so if you're heading out after your meal, I'd recommend parking there and going to play 🤭

Once you step inside, there's a slightly separated room too, so it'd be great for booking as a group!!! 👍👍

It was a little quiet since it was still early evening, but customers started coming in quickly~ Probably because there are a lot of offices near Seohyeon Station 🙊

Menu, spice levels, and the 12,900-won weekday lunch

Now let's get to ordering!!! Gimcheongja Maeun Galbijjim Seohyeon Station Branch's signature dish is spicy braised galbijjim, available as beef ribs or pork ribs 😗🌸 Weekdays from 11am to 2pm it's ₩12,900 with rice and steamed egg included, no extra charge!!! Lol

Then you pick your spice level — mild, medium, or spicy. Apparently mild is about Shin Ramyun level, medium is about Buldak level >.< So mild is probably the right call...right?? Lol 🌶🌶

For sides there's steamed egg and fried rice, and for add-ins, rice cake and glass noodles!!! 😝😜 And they've got a whole lineup of fried items too — kimmari, fried mandu, sweet potato, cheese balls — so pick whatever suits you! Everything looked delicious so it was hard to choose, lol

Banchan with unlimited refills

Once we ordered, the side dishes came out in a row!!! Seaweed, kimchi, macaroni salad, pickled perilla leaves, bean sprouts — such a perfect combo with the kimchi-jjim, lol. And the best part — sides are unlimited refills 🙊👍😜

How does pork galbijjim for two taste at the mild level?

And then — ta-da!!! — the spicy galbijjim appeared!!! 🍖🍖 We ordered pork ribs for two, and the rice cake and glass noodles came included as the basic add-ins, though adding extra would've been nice too ^^

It came out already partially cooked, so once we let it simmer a bit more, it turned into this visual...my mouth is already watering, lol 🤤🤤

Eating this with all the side dishes has to be pure honey 🍯🐝 They also gave us extra spicy seasoning powder~~ Thanks for the meal!!! ^^♡

Let's try the meat first~!! The spicy sauce wraps around your whole mouth...lol. But since it's the mild version, it's just deliciously spicy!! Even better eaten together with the sides 😝

Why steamed egg belongs with spicy galbijjim

When eating spicy food, steamed egg is absolutely non-negotiable!!! 🥚🥚

So soft and fluffy steamed egg~!!! It's so good, lol. You have to order it whenever you're eating spicy food 🤗💘

When it's nice and spicy, plopping a piece of pork galbijjim on top of the bean sprouts and eating it together is the move 🐽🐽

The finishing touch is fried rice, stir-fried right in the pot!!!!! This has to be so good~~~ 👏👏👏 There's no way you can skip this...!! Even if you're full, I'd definitely recommend ordering it, lol. This truly is K-dessert, haha
