Nowon hair salon for a medium-length wavy perm: Yeum Hair

Today I’m sharing my visit to Yeum Hair Nowon District Office branch (예움헤어 노원구청점), a super-kind and skilled hair salon near Nowon Station. This was my third visit! I wanted a big, loose hippie-perm or wave-perm kind of look, and they recommended Director Geudaero, who gets lots of repeat perm clients. So this time, I got big medium-length waves from Director Geudaerooo.

Yeum Hair near Nowon Station is close to Nowon Station on Subway Lines 4 and 7, so it’s incredibly easy to get to. My friend who works at Nowon District Office also visits Yeum Hair from time to time! When I talked to my friend, they said they had come back several times because Yeum Hair is so kind!

A clean, cozy salon atmosphere

The atmosphere at Yeum Hair in Nowon is clean and cozy. Since it’s on the second floor, the window view is lovely too! Visit during the day and the sunlight is so nice~ And I feel this every time I visit: the staff are incredibly kind. They speak so sweetly and greet you with bright smiles, so it puts me in a good mood and feels healing.

Seated right away at my appointment time

I visited with an appointment, so I was shown straight to my seat without waiting. If you arrive at your appointment time, your assigned stylist greets you warmly right in front of the counter. Their system is totally good-good.

Consultation and trim for big medium-length waves

Once I sat down, Director Geudaero gave me a hairstyle consultation. I asked for something a little curly, with the feel of a big hippie perm or wave perm. Haha. Afterward, they checked the condition of my hair and explained that the ends were quite damaged and would need trimming, so I said okay.

After the consultation, I had my hair washed in the shampoo room and returned to my seat. They trimmed the ends for me. There was even more of my cut hair at the back, but I didn’t manage to photograph it!

Coffee and cookies before the perm solution

Once they started applying the perm solution in earnest, they brought over a drink and cookies. The iced coffee and cookies were so good. I polished off two cookies in no time, and they even brought me more chocolate cookies. Thank yooou. Everyone was so sweet and kind~

Careful solution application and about an hour of heat processing

After carefully applying the perm solution, they wrapped my hair in rollers and began heat processing. I was really thankful that they kept checking whether it was too hot and whether the heat treatment was going well. The roller-and-heat stage seemed to take about an hour! I had a lovely time looking at my phone while enjoying coffee and cookies.

Final shampoo plus protein and moisture mist

At the finishing stage, after shampooing, I had some time for protein and moisture replenishment. The scalp massage felt so refreshing, and the mist treatment was healing too. I was seriously starting to drift off~ Among hair salons near Nowon Station, this place is the best for both service and skill! Maybe even one of the best in Seoul, not just around Nowon Station!

A four-section drying method to keep the curls at home

The most useful part was that they explained exactly how to dry my hair at the end. They told me to hold and dry it after dividing it into four sections. When I dried it at home as they taught me, the curls really came out beautifully. Such an amazing tip~~~~ No one has ever taught me this method anywhere else!!!!

The big hippie-perm and wave-perm curls I requested, complete

The curls came out in the big waves I had asked for. Even after getting a perm, my hair condition is still very good, and the curls are seriously pretty. Just as I thought.... I had a good feeling from the moment I started getting my hair done, and yep, good-good. My hair turned out so well, right?

The first-anniversary event running during my visit

Yeum Hair near Nowon Station was also holding a surprise event for its first anniversary. Apparently, if you stop the timer at 9.02 seconds, you receive a generous gift. I visited on September 2, so I was able to join the event. I got 9.21, but the director still gave me curl cream. I happened to need curl cream, so I was super happy-happy to receive such a nice product.

A satisfying third visit for a big wave perm
