Masan Bukseong-ro set meal, seasoned crab refill: Yun Sikdang

Hi, this is Juang! Today I'm bringing you my review of a set-meal spot in Masan that I really enjoyed!

It's a set-meal restaurant located in Masan's furniture street — it was really good, haha.

Where is Yun Sikdang, and what are its hours and parking?

One menu only: the grilled bulgogi set meal

Here's the menu board at Yun Sikdang! There's only one menu item — the grilled bulgogi set meal. Everyone from elementary-school age up orders one serving each!

And if there's something you taste and love and want more of, you just check the menu board and pay extra to add it — anything not on the board seems to be a free refill! (That's just my guess, haha — I was already so full that I only added the seasoned crab with extra payment, so I don't actually know, hahaha.)

Waiting seats and the mood inside Yun Sikdang

As you'd expect from a proper Masan set-meal place, there were waiting seats set up too! There was even a sign-in sheet for the waitlist, so it seems there's a wait sometimes. I did an open run, but there were already quite a few people eating.

From tables for four up to tables for eight, Yun Sikdang was neatly set up enough for groups to come eat together!

There's no self-serve banchan (side dish) bar — the staff at Yun Sikdang plate everything fresh the moment you order, and it's clearly kept very clean.

There was a good selection of drinks and alcohol too, and Ilpum Jinro stood out — good for treating your parents if you bring them along!

Cooking starts the moment you order, so they ask you to wait a bit — but it came out faster than I expected. And absolutely no switching seats once you're seated!

Aprons, hair ties and baby chairs on hand

Yun Sikdang thought of everything for convenience! Aprons, hair ties, individually set spoons and chopsticks, and even a baby chair — all provided!

The whole grilled bulgogi set arrives at once

Ta-da~ everything gets set out at once! As Koreans, we tend to prefer a table piled full of dishes over a course meal, right?

They even made expensive abalone into abalone jang (soy-marinated abalone) — so plump! But since it's the grilled bulgogi set meal, grilled bulgogi is still my top pick — eat it first while it's warm!!!

Kimchi pancake and blue crab doenjang stew

Yun Sikdang's kimchi pancake (kimchijeon) — seriously, how do they get it this thin?! It was delicious too. And the crab doenjang stew!!! Savory, sweet, and salty all at once — an absolutely perfect harmony!

Seasoned crab refill comes at an extra charge

All the banchan were delicious, but the seasoned crab (yangnyeom gejang) was so good I paid extra for a refill!

This is the refilled seasoned crab! They normally give you 4 pieces, but the owner of Yun Sikdang threw in one extra. Owner's the best!!

The japchae (glass noodle stir-fry), yeolmu kimchi (young radish kimchi), and squid radish salad were all genuinely delicious! My husband's pick was the yeolmu kimchi — he normally isn't a fan of it, but he said Yun Sikdang's was fermented just right and was so good. He said if home-cooked meals were always like this, he'd only eat home-cooked meals — hahahaha, tsk, haha.

The mackerel was great too! My husband pulled off another weird food move — wrapping grilled bulgogi and mackerel together in one bite?! Well... he said it was good, hahaha.

I cleared out the seasoned crab all on my own!! I think there was some Sichuan pepper in the seasoning — it was my first time tasting seasoned crab like this, but it worked for my palate! It might be a love-it-or-hate-it flavor, since my husband said Yun Sikdang's seasoned crab wasn't amazing for him, and after eating just one piece he told me — kindly or not, who knows — to finish the rest, hahahaha, so I dove right in! At the end, I spread the sauce on a lettuce leaf and gulped it down! So good!!!

Four bowls of rice for two: is Yun Sikdang worth it?

Between the two of us, we cleared four bowls of rice and every dish~~ We ate so well!! Confirmed Masan set-meal restaurant!!! Totally recommend it — Yun Sikdang!

When you pay and head out, if you parked at the public lot, be sure to grab your parking voucher~♡ If you ever head to Masan's furniture street, definitely visit Yun Sikdang — I highly recommend it as a spot to eat in the Masan furniture street area!
