On a day when I wanted a solid Korean meal near Samseong Station, I stopped by Yangeunine Samseong Station Branch. Bossam (boiled pork wrap) alone felt like it wouldn't be quite enough — I was craving something with hot broth too. Luckily they have a set where you can try pollack stew, squid bossam, and naengmyeon (cold noodles) all at once, so I ended up eating quite a lot haha. It's also great for eating with a group, so it's worth considering if you're looking for a group meal spot near Samseong Station.

What comes in the Yangeunine Set, and how much is it?

After looking over the menu for a while, I decided I wanted to try a bunch of things at once, so I ordered the Yangeunine Set. It comes with spicy pollack stew + squid bossam + naengmyeon, priced at ₩48,000.

You could order the pollack stew and bossam separately, but getting them as a set lets you sample the signature dishes all at once, which seems like a good pick for first-time visitors. There were also plenty of other options for eating or drinking with alcohol, like spicy pollack stew, squid bossam, plain bossam, and cockle salad. If you're after bossam near Samseong Station but also want broth-based food, this menu lineup will probably suit you well.

Yangeunine Samseong Station Branch is easy to spot thanks to its yellow exterior, visible from far away. The entrance had a bright, friendly feel that made it easy to walk in.

Out front there was a menu board with the signature dishes and prices, so I could plan what to order before going in. There was also a sign noting that cold sujeonggwa is served after the meal, and they had toothpicks, hair ties, and a phone charger ready to use. Small touches like that were quietly nice to see.

Seeing a room full of people who'd clearly come for a company dinner after work, I thought, ah, I've come to the right place. It's already famous and shows up a lot on YouTube and elsewhere, so a lot of people already know it as a great spot, which only raised my expectations. And apparently plenty of well-known people have eaten here too, so of course my expectations went up even more. How good could it possibly be? While waiting, the food came out pretty quickly.

Once the dishes from the Yangeunine Set started arriving, the table filled up fast. A big plate with bossam, squid, kimchi, and chive salad came out alongside the pollack stew simmering hot, and just looking at it felt filling.

On top of that, naengmyeon was included too, so it felt like a properly complete meal. Hot broth, meat and vegetables, then cold noodles — the way the different dishes followed one another made eating it more fun.

I started with the bubbling spicy pollack stew. It came out in a big pot with plenty of red broth and a generous pile of green onion on top. Once it started bubbling, it looked seriously appetizing.

Inside there was pollack and vegetables, and as pictured, soft pollack roe too, so it was fun picking through the ingredients. Spooning up the hot broth between bites of bossam was especially nice.

The mild bossam and the spicy stew went really well together, and the pairing felt even more welcome on a day when I was craving something hot and soupy.

How to eat the squid bossam plate

And then the squid bossam, which felt like the most generous dish on the table. A large plate arrived with bossam and squid sliced into easy-to-eat pieces, along with kimchi, chive salad, and lettuce. With so many components packed onto one plate, it was fun mixing and matching to my taste.

A piece of bossam topped with kimchi was great, and it also went nicely with the chive salad. Wrapping bossam, squid, and vegetables generously in lettuce for a big bite was fun too.

Having squid alongside made it feel different from regular bossam. Rather than eating meat the whole time, alternating between squid and vegetables kept it varied all the way through.

Finishing the meal with water naengmyeon

After eating a filling amount of pollack stew and squid bossam, cold noodles are really the way to finish. This time I went with water naengmyeon. It came in a big stainless bowl with cold broth, noodles, cucumber, egg, and toppings. After the hot pollack stew, the cold naengmyeon felt even more welcome.

I'd also recommend saving a bit of bossam to eat alongside the naengmyeon. Meat and naengmyeon are such a good combination that it let me finish the meal both filling and refreshing.

Is Yangeunine a good group dinner near Samseong Station and COEX?

Yangeunine Samseong Station Branch turned out even more filling than expected, letting me try pollack stew, squid bossam, and naengmyeon all in one visit. It's a great place to go on days you'd rather have a variety of Korean dishes on one table than stick to just one menu item. With warm, spicy pollack stew paired with bossam and squid, then finished off with cool naengmyeon, it felt like a full course.
