Every weekend, I find myself wondering where to take the kids, and this time I wanted to make a slightly more special memory, so we went on a Han River yacht tour in Seoul. 😊

When I thought of Yeouido, I usually only thought of picnics, Han River ramyeon, or cruises, but actually getting on a yacht gave it a completely different atmosphere. It was such a relaxed time, like being at an overseas resort, and the whole family was happy with the day.

A weekend afternoon yacht ride on the Han River with family
We visited with a 5 pm reservation on a weekend, and our family of four enjoyed it together.
We drove there, and parking at Yeouido Parking Lot No. 1 made it really easy to find because it was right in front of us.

As soon as we arrived after parking, we filled out our personal details in a simple boarding log at the office and got ready to depart. The process was not complicated, so even with children there was no need to wait long.

Once we had finished, we followed the captain to the dock, and just seeing several yachts moored there got us excited!!
The yacht assigned to us had a hammock. The kids loved it from the moment they saw it, and we thought, today we are really going to relax properly^^

Yacht facilities and safety briefing before departure
After boarding, we first put on life jackets, listened to the safety briefing, and then set off. Everything was explained clearly enough for first-timers, so we could enjoy it without worry. The yacht was much roomier than I had expected, too.
Inside, there was a comfortable seating area, and down the stairs on either side were a restroom, refrigerator, and even a space to take a short rest. Having a restroom was something I especially appreciated when visiting with children.
Not long after we set off, they prepared white wine and snacks for us, and the atmosphere was just lovely.

They also made sure to provide separate drinks for the children, which felt very thoughtful.
Holding our glasses and enjoying the Han River views, it felt as if our normally busy everyday life had paused for a moment^^
Shimmering water and river breezes from the Han River
What I remember most from this Han River yacht tour in Seoul was the scenery. It had been a long time since I had simply taken in the sparkling sunlight on the water for so long.

Because it was late afternoon, the sun was not too strong, and the clouds spread out so beautifully that the photos came out wonderfully.

We went out to the front of the yacht to take in the view and feel the river breeze. Thanks to the cool wind, even the hot weather did not feel difficult at all.
We could see jet skis speeding across the Han River,

and seagulls flying close by, which the kids found fascinating and kept watching.

Especially while lying in the hammock and looking out at the Han River, I really felt as though I had come to an overseas resort. 🩵
Enjoying wine on the gently rocking yacht was healing in itself.

A hammock yacht family outing the kids loved
Most of all, the kids absolutely loved it!!
The owner kept blowing bubbles for the children, and although it was their first time on a yacht, they were not scared at all. Instead, they said they wanted to ride again next time, haha.
For a family outing with children, I think this is an experience you can be thoroughly satisfied with.

For the first time in a while, my husband and I could spend time simply looking at the scenery without thinking about anything else. Usually I am so busy looking after the kids, but on the yacht, a sense of ease came naturally.

We took lots of photos, chatted, and had such a lovely time. I also think it would be perfect for a special occasion, birthday, or wedding-anniversary date.
A private Han River view unlike a picnic
Most people think of a Han River picnic, Han River ramyeon, or a cruise when they think of Yeouido, but getting on a yacht felt completely different. We could enjoy the Han River quietly, and the more private feeling made it even more special.

It would be great for a date, a family outing, or for spending special time with parents. I was amazed that we could enjoy this kind of atmosphere right in Seoul, and it was a refreshing break without having to travel far away.

This Han River yacht tour in Seoul became a memory our family will treasure for a long time.
Thanks to the kind captain and owner, we could enjoy it even more comfortably, and it was all the more meaningful because the children were happy too.

I still remember lying in the hammock, feeling the cool Han River breeze, drinking wine, and looking at the beautiful clouds and scenery.
If you are looking for an unusual date or a special family outing in Seoul, I recommend experiencing it at least once.
Our family would like to return next time in a season when the sunset is even prettier. It truly was the best experience. 😊
