Hi, it's Suddal, your travel and food blogger :D Today I'm visiting Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch, a great Korean BBQ spot near Seokchon Lake for a company dinner.

With the weather turning cooler, I took a light stroll around Seokchon Lake and then headed to a hearty meat dinner at Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch, a newly opened spot in the Bangi-dong food alley. Being freshly opened, it has a clean, stylish atmosphere and private rooms, making it perfect for company dinners or dates. Best of all, the staff grill everything for you, so I could focus entirely on the meal. With a wide drink selection and free corkage on top, this is a place that satisfies both drinkers and meat lovers alike. Let's get into my review of Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch 🐾
How to get to Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch, and where to park

Yukmong is located in the Bangi-dong food alley, just 5 minutes on foot from Jamsil Station! It's only a 1-minute walk from Seokchon Lake, so it's perfect for a stroll after a filling meal.
Another plus — this is one of the few Korean BBQ restaurants in the Bangi-dong food alley with parking available. Up to 4 cars can park in front of the store, but if it's full, the nearest Jamsil Station public parking lot is a cheaper option.
[Jamsil Station public parking rates] ₩440 per 5 minutes (about ₩5,280 per hour)
Inside Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch: private rooms across three floors

Yukmong is a large-scale Korean BBQ restaurant spread across 1st floor, 2nd floor, and basement level 1. The 1st floor is hall seating only, the 2nd floor has hall seating plus private rooms and group seating, and the basement has private rooms only. Having lived in Jamsil for a long time and tried many BBQ spots in the Bangi-dong food alley, I can say there aren't many places where groups can dine this privately. So if you're planning a company dinner, don't hesitate — go with Yukmong 🐾

And as I'll introduce shortly, they boast an impressively solid drink lineup. They even had my beloved non-alcoholic beer!
Also worth noting — this Korean BBQ restaurant near Seokchon Lake in Jamsil offers free corkage for one bottle! The owner's sense for hospitality is amazing 🫶
Yukmong's menu and prices: what's in the sets?
Yukmong's meat cuts and side dishes

At Yukmong, you can enjoy pork, beef, beef tartare, and even raw fish all in one place, and the set menus in particular are well composed, letting you enjoy everything at a more reasonable price.
Yukmong's drinks list, from traditional Korean liquors to non-alcoholic options

They had even more drinks than what was listed on Naver! Soju, Chum-Churum Saero, Cheongha, beer, draft beer, makgeolli, plus traditional liquors like Leegangju, Solsongju, and Munbaeju, Yukmong's own takju (unfiltered rice wine), Ilpum Jinro, Hwayo, bokbunja (Korean black raspberry wine), and even non-alcoholic beer for those who don't drink. Lately I've been trying to cut back on drinking and look for non-alcoholic options, so I'm always glad to see it on the menu haha. Solsongju is a traditional liquor I fell in love with paired with beef tartare at Namhae Ananti, so I was pleasantly surprised to see it sold here too!

The wine list also ranges from good-value bottles to premium picks. It's great for gatherings or group dinners where everyone can drink according to their own taste — I really felt like 'this place is optimized for group get-togethers'!
What comes with the Seolhwa 1% Flower Galbi Set (119,000 won)
My husband and I hadn't had proper beef in a while, so we ordered the 'Seolhwa 1% Flower Galbi Set,' generously composed of hanwoo (Korean beef) flower galbi, Seolhwa sirloin, galbisal, and even doenjang jjigae. From the very first bite, I thought, 'I'm so glad we ordered this!' — it was the best choice, no regrets ✨
Yukmong's basic banchan: mala cucumber salad and seasoned raw crab

The basic side dishes were served neatly and thoughtfully, and among them, the mala cucumber salad and seasoned crab stood out the most. They were clearly a cut above typical BBQ side dishes, and I kept reaching for more!

In particular, the seasoned crab was shockingly good — quality comparable to a dedicated crab specialty restaurant! Even I, who can't handle spicy food well, could enjoy it comfortably — the spiciness was clean without any heaviness, and the seasoning wasn't overly salty, just right. I finished it before I even started on the meat. I'm still thinking about it as I write this post!

Among the sauces, the brown fish tamarind sauce stood out the most — made in-house using Southeast Asian fish sauce. Its exotic, salty aroma pairs surprisingly well with beef! Right next to it was Yukmong's own pickled yuzu ginger, made by grating the peel along with the flesh — perfect for refreshing your palate whenever the meat felt too rich, resetting your taste buds completely!

I really appreciated how they explained the side dishes and sauces separately like this. It wasn't just served casually — you could feel the careful research and thought that went into it, which really built my trust.
Yukmong's signature doenjang jjigae, the best soybean paste stew we've had
I came for the beef, but I ended up falling hard for the doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew)! True to its name, Yukmong's Signature Doenjang Jjigae arrives bubbling in a large earthenware pot, looking mouthwatering from the moment it hits the table. The deep gochujang (red chili paste) flavor combined with the refreshing bean sprouts made me let out a dolphin squeal the moment I took the first spoonful haha.

What really stood out was the pre-seared radish simmered into the stew — it had this tender, soft-but-firm texture that was outstanding! It pairs perfectly with the meat, but honestly it's good enough on its own to finish a whole bowl of rice — highly recommend it if you visit Yukmong ✨
Tableside grilling service: Yukmong's staff cook every cut for you

The meat plating was beautifully neat. From left, it's galbisal, sirloin, and flower galbi — and of course, all premium hanwoo!! The plate also came with garlic-sesame oil dipping sauce, shishito peppers, and king oyster mushrooms to grill alongside, rounding out the perfect combination.
They started with the galbisal first!
They grilled everything carefully, infusing a gentle smoky flavor, so we didn't have to lift a finger — just chat comfortably and eat. It was truly the best. We arrived right at the noon opening, and as more and more guests poured in, the 1st floor hall filled up in no time. Even with every table packed and things getting hectic, the staff kept moving diligently between tables, grilling with care to the very end — it was really touching ✨

The perfectly grilled galbisal burst with rich beefy aroma the moment I bit into it, leaving a deep, nutty flavor lingering in my mouth.
Next up was the sirloin, its thick cut catching my eye right away. It had a satisfying chew while staying juicy and moist, never drying out.

Topped with a bit of herring roe, the seasoning was just right, and the fun popping texture added an ocean-fresh accent that cleanly cut through the richness of the beef.
And then came the perfect finishing touch of the day — the flower galbi! Being such a delicate cut, the staff moved the tongs constantly to keep it from burning, grilling it with real care. The moment I popped a piece into my mouth, it melted away instantly, and my eyebrows shot up in pure appreciation!! Without a doubt, flower galbi was the star of the day!

It was delicious wrapped in fresh lettuce, and paired with the neat side dishes and sauces, I could mix and match to my heart's content — there wasn't a dull moment even down to the last bite. If you want to enjoy proper hanwoo flavor with a generous, well-thought-out composition, I highly recommend Yukmong's 'Seolhwa 1% Flower Galbi Set' 👍
Don't miss Yukmong's generous receipt review freebies

Also, if you visit Yukmong, you absolutely must take advantage of the receipt review event! Write 1 review and you get free beef brisket hangover ramen, write 2 reviews and you get free beef tartare. The quality of the freebies is practically a main dish on its own, so skipping it would be a total waste!
