Flounder and salmon sushi 10P at a Dongnae, Busan sushi spot: Moshi

Today I went and had some delicious sushi in Dongnae, Busan, at "Moshi Moshi Sushi, Lotte Department Store Dongnae Branch"! I usually love sushi, so while searching for a good sushi place around Dongnae, this is the spot I ended up visiting.

It's inside Lotte Department Store Dongnae Branch, so it's great for a meal while shopping, and since there's also a cinema there, it's perfect before or after watching a movie. So if you're looking for a sushi restaurant near the Dongnae Lotte Cinema, this one is definitely worth considering. Since it's inside the department store, it's directly connected to Myeongnyun Station by an overpass, so accessibility is great whether you come by public transport or by car.

Being inside the department store, it wasn't hard to find even on a first visit, and parking was easy too since you can use the department store's lot.

For anyone looking for a sushi restaurant near Myeongnyun Station, this place is especially convenient since it's close enough to visit by subway without any hassle. Shopping, a meal, and a movie all in one route — it would make a great course for a date or a family outing.

The moment I walked into Moshi Moshi Sushi's Dongnae branch, what struck me was an upscale, pleasant sushi atmosphere combined with a casual feel where you could relax and enjoy your meal. Overall it was spacious, clean, and tidy.

There are table seats and bar-style seats, so it's good for two people, fine for solo dining, and the room-style tables suit family meals too — a vibe that works for pretty much anyone.

Here's the menu for reference. Between the sushi, à la carte dishes, and kids' sets, there was really a lot to choose from and it was hard to decide~ We ended up ordering three: the Korean beef tartare set, the assorted sushi B set, and the flounder & salmon sushi set.

The food came out neatly presented. The utensils were nicely clean too, which I appreciated. The Korean beef tartare set, assorted sushi B, and flounder & salmon sushi set we ordered were all really generous.

The various types of sushi were arranged beautifully, so it looked appetizing right away, and it was easy to share bite by bite with my friend. The assorted sashimi we ordered was really generous too. The different types of sashimi were arranged nicely, satisfying from the visual alone, and great for sharing piece by piece with friends or family.

Korean beef tartare set, 19,000 won: a generous pile of tartare

Korean beef tartare set (₩19,000): beef tartare rice bowl + 3pc tempura + mini udon + vegetable salad + tofu salad

The beef tartare rice bowl was made up of sprouts, onion, seaweed, rice, beef tartare, and seasoning sauce. The amount of tartare was more than I expected, which was satisfying~

After drizzling on a bit of the seasoning sauce and taking a bite, it was really fresh, with no gamey smell, so soft it almost melted in my mouth, and yet chewy and savory as you chewed — I want to eat it again haha.

The mini udon had a surprisingly filling portion despite its name, and the vegetable salad and tofu salad that came with both sets felt refreshing to eat in between bites, which I liked.

The tempura consisted of shrimp, eggplant, and sweet pumpkin. Since it came fresh out of the fryer, it was warm and really crispy, which made it delicious.

If you want to try a variety of sushi types, the assorted sushi set seemed like the safest choice.

The B set in particular includes popular types like salmon and tuna, so I think most people would enjoy it. With 10 pieces, you get to try a good variety, and paired with the soup and salad in between bites, the whole set felt satisfying and really tasty.

Flounder & salmon sushi 10P + 3P tempura, 27,500 won

Flounder and salmon each come with 5 pieces, so you can enjoy both kinds generously and evenly.

The flounder sushi had a chewy texture, while the salmon was soft and melted in the mouth, so alternating between the two was fun. If you're someone who can't decide between flounder and salmon, I'd recommend this menu.
