Moshi Moshi Sushi, Lotte Department Store Dongnae Branch is located at 1393 Jungang-daero, 8th floor of Lotte Department Store Dongnae Branch, Dongnae-gu, Busan. Hours are 10:30–20:30, last order at 20:00, with no break time.
There was rain in the forecast last weekend, so we canceled our plans and decided to rest at home. But after two days cooped up indoors, it got so boring. My husband said he needed new sneakers, so I took him and our kid shopping at the Dongnae department store.
While shopping, it got to be dinner time, so I looked up good restaurants in Lotte Department Store Dongnae Branch and found Moshi Moshi Sushi, a well-known sushi spot near Myeongnyun Station. This was our first visit to the Dongnae branch specifically, but since we'd been happy with other Moshi Moshi locations, we headed straight to the one on the 8th floor without a second thought.
Today I'm introducing Moshi Moshi Sushi, Lotte Department Store Dongnae Branch, a sushi restaurant near Myeongnyun Station.
Moshi Moshi Dongnae has excellent accessibility since it's on the 8th floor of Lotte Department Store Dongnae Branch. It's very close to bus stops and the subway station, so public transit is convenient, and if you're driving, you can use the department store parking lot without worrying about parking. (Be sure to register your parking after your meal.)

Here's the clean exterior of Moshi Moshi Sushi, Lotte Department Store Dongnae Branch.

I heard the Lotte Department Store Gwangbok branch Moshi Moshi opened back in 2018. Business hours were posted at the entrance, along with a recommended set menu.

Seating and kid-friendly extras at Moshi Moshi Sushi Dongnae
Moshi Moshi Dongnae has 4-top tables, counter seating, and private seats toward the back of the restaurant. High chairs and kids' tableware were also available, making it easy to come with a child.
Since the restaurant is open-plan, you can see inside from outside. The interior is just as clean and stylish as the exterior. Being located inside a department store, it felt overall very clean and comfortable — I really liked that.

There was a variety of seating — 4-top tables, counter seats, and toward the back of the store, seats where you could dine privately. For anyone who's not a fan of open seating, having a private option is a nice touch.

High chairs and kids' tableware were also set up, which made me think this is a great place to bring a child for a meal.

Set 4 at 58,900 won: what a family of three ate
We ordered Set 4 (16pc sushi + shrimp tempura + choice of noodle + vegetable salad + tofu salad + soup), one order of chicken gara-age, and a Sprite.

As soon as we ordered, they brought out tofu salad, vegetable salad, and pickled ginger and danmuji (pickled radish) that go well with sushi. The dressing on the tofu salad was really nutty and delicious with the soft tofu — I think kids would eat it up too.

This is the full Set 4 spread at Moshi Moshi Dongnae. Looks generous and delicious at a glance, doesn't it?

If you're visiting with 2–3 people, ordering a set menu is a great way to try a variety of dishes.

The 16 pieces of sushi: raw shrimp, eel, beef tartare and squid
The fresh sushi caught my eye first.

They prepared such a wide variety of sushi that just looking at it made my mouth water.
Let's snap a quick photo and dig in.

Sweet raw shrimp nigiri topped with fresh shrimp, and eel nigiri glazed with soy sauce
Beef tartare nigiri tossed in seasoning, and squid nigiri

We got to enjoy a wide variety of sushi — salmon, flounder, shrimp, and even egg nigiri. The sushi at Moshi Moshi Dongnae felt fresh, and you could really tell they use fresh ingredients.

Shrimp tempura in Set 4
This is our son's favorite menu item, shrimp tempura. You can tell just by looking how crispy it is.

The shrimp were nice and big, plump with meat, and perfectly crispy outside, juicy inside. Dipping it in the soy sauce they gave us made it even tastier.

Udon as the noodle course (ramen and seafood yaki udon cost extra)
The third dish was udon. It came topped generously with fried tofu and other garnishes. The chewy noodles paired with the hot, rich broth satisfied both kid and adults alike. Since it's not spicy at all, it's great for young kids too.
With the Moshi Moshi set menu, you can choose your noodle dish from soba, udon, ramen, or seafood yaki udon — just note that ramen and seafood yaki udon cost extra. Since we were eating with our kid, we went with udon.

Adding chicken karaage for 8,000 won
After finishing the set menu, we still felt a little hungry, so we ordered chicken gara-age too. They kindly cut it into small pieces to make it easy for our kid to eat, which I really appreciated.

The chicken gara-age was crispy outside, juicy inside too!!! It worked well as something to share with our kid and also made a light, tasty snack to go with beer for the adults.
