A special Chinese meal in Hanam Misa
Today, I visited because I heard there was a premium Chinese restaurant in Hanam Misa. I was especially curious because it was said to be a Hanam spot known for seafood nurungjitang (crispy rice soup), and after trying it myself, it felt like a nice place for a family meal or a visit with your parents.
The place I visited was O Hyeongje Hwangje Nurungjitang Hanam Misa Main Branch (오형제황제누룽지탕 하남미사본점). The address is 616-1 Misa-daero, Hanam-si, Gyeonggi-do.

Ample parking and a spacious dining room
If you're coming by car, I think you'll like the parking first. There is plenty of parking in front of, behind, and beside the restaurant, so there is no need to worry about finding a spot~!

It is really stressful when you drive to a popular restaurant and there is nowhere to park, but this place had ample parking, so it made a great first impression.

The inside was also very spacious and clean. There was enough room for large groups, and the overall atmosphere was upscale and tidy, so I think it would suit a gathering with several people, such as a family get-together or family meal.

Ordering crispy rice soup and fresh tenderloin tangsuyuk
Here is the menu~! It felt a little different from a typical Chinese restaurant and more upscale! There was no jajangmyeon or jjamppong; instead, the focus was on a variety of dishes including seafood crispy rice soup, so it definitely felt like a premium Chinese restaurant~~! I was even more excited because I had heard they perform the cooking of the crispy rice soup right in front of you. We ordered the seafood abalone crispy rice soup and fresh tenderloin tangsuyuk (sweet-and-sour pork).
As soon as the food arrived, the presentation was seriously amazing, haha.

The basic side dishes were neatly and cleanly prepared, and there was a self-service bar on one side, so we could comfortably help ourselves to any side dishes we needed. I also liked that dessert fruit, such as oranges, was available for a light bite after the meal!

Seafood abalone crispy rice soup bubbling before your eyes
Finally, we tried the main dish, seafood abalone crispy rice soup. They first poured about half of the seafood broth into a piping-hot stone ttukbaegi (earthenware pot), added the crispy rice, then poured in more broth. Thanks to the hot stone pot, it immediately started bubbling away.
It was fun to watch it boil vigorously right in front of us, and I also liked that it stayed hot until the very end.

It was generously filled with seafood and various vegetables. The seafood seemed fresh, and so did the vegetables. Vegetables such as bell peppers were blanched just enough, so they were not overly soft and still had a nice texture.
After enjoying the seafood and vegetables with the broth, I scooped up the savory crispy rice at the end. The warm, nutty flavor made me keep going back for more. The portion was generous too, so it would be great to order with other dishes and share with family, haha.

Fresh tenderloin tangsuyuk for dipping
The fresh tenderloin tangsuyuk was delicious too. The pieces of meat were nice and large, which gave them a good bite, and since it was made with chilled domestic pork rather than frozen meat, the meat itself tasted good too. The sauce was sweet and tasty, but I am definitely on team dip-it, so I happily gave each piece a little dip in the sauce~~

A family meal I want to revisit with my parents
Overall, I especially liked that the food stayed hot from beginning to end, and it was memorable because we could have a special meal unlike typical Chinese restaurant dishes. The performance of the crispy rice soup bubbling away in the hot stone pot made it fun to eat, too.
The meal was filling and felt special, almost like nourishing food, so I found myself thinking that I would like to come back with my parents next time.

With its spacious dining room and ample parking, I think it would also be a good choice for anyone looking for a place for a family gathering or family meal. If you are looking for a slightly special Chinese dish in Hanam, you might enjoy trying the seafood crispy rice soup at O Hyeongje Hwangje Nurungjitang Hanam Misa Main Branch, where eating it piping hot is part of the fun :)
