Seongsu alley ice cream café with granola milk soft serve: Mellows

Today I want to introduce Mellows, a spot I visited because I was craving something sweet and icy in Seongsu! There are so many amazing dessert spots in Seongsu, but this particular day I was really in the mood for ice cream, haha.

Mellows isn't just an ice cream shop — it makes soft serve using organic milk from Sangha Farm. And in the evenings, they also sell drinks, so it's a place you can visit for ice cream and then switch up the mood for a drink later on. (Drinks can be ordered from 8pm! 🍷) So let's get into my Mellows review in Seongsu~ 🐷

What Mellows looks like: red brick front and a terrace in the alley

Mellows is located down an alley in Seongsu. With a red brick exterior and an outdoor terrace set up in front, it was a great spot to soak in that particular Seongsu atmosphere. Visiting in the evening especially, the lighting added a warmer feel to the whole place. ✨

The interior isn't a big spacious café — more compact and cozy! So it felt like a great spot to stop and rest with some ice cream while wandering around Seongsu.

Mellows menu: soft serve flavors and the 8pm drinks list

The menu was more varied than I expected! There's coffee like americano, café latte, and vanilla latte, plus non-coffee options like chocolate latte and matcha latte.

But what really caught my eye was the soft serve menu! 🍦 The basics are milk, affogato, matcha, chocolate, and peanut butter, plus fruit options like peach, mango, and strawberry. In the evening they also sell drinks like cocktails and highballs, so it seems like a good spot to visit not just for ice cream but also for a drink. 🍸

What the Mellows soft serve tasted like

The basic milk ice cream! One bite in, the milk flavor was clearly rich and nutty. It wasn't just sweet for the sake of being sweet — you could taste that soft, clean milk flavor, and it really made me think, "ah, this is Sangha Farm ice cream!" haha.

And underneath there's granola, so when you scoop it up you get this crunchy texture along with the ice cream. Instead of just eating smooth soft serve the whole time, having that crunchy, nutty granola mixed in every so often actually paired surprisingly well~!

Peach soft serve at Mellows: like canned white peach

The moment I took a bite, one thing immediately came to mind.

This tastes like canned white peaches, lol

It wasn't overly artificial-tasting, though — more that soft, juicy, sweet texture that's characteristic of white peaches.

The sweetness of the peach combined with the rich milk ice cream made for a sweet-yet-nutty combo that worked better than I expected. And since it's Sangha Farm ice cream after all, that rich, nutty milk flavor came through strongly, so it wasn't overpowered by the peach flavor — which I liked.

If you're wandering around Seongsu and craving something sweet, this is a great dessert spot to stop by! 🍦 If you like that distinctive nutty Sangha Farm milk flavor, I'd especially recommend the basic milk ice cream. Personally, the peach ice cream was delicious too, but the milk one with granola was more my style, haha.
