I was running errands near Yeoksam Station and looking for a café to rest at with a friend when I stumbled on a place with some unusual drinks. I usually love coffee, but if there's a menu item I don't see often, I always have to try it — and "fresh avocado coffee" caught my eye immediately. On top of that, they had a Jeju matcha smoothie, made with matcha, which I love, so curiosity got the better of me and I ended up visiting Roastery Stan Yeoksam Main.
If you're looking for a Yeoksam Station café that offers something a bit more special than the usual franchise drinks, this place might be worth keeping an eye on.

Where is Roastery Stan Yeoksam Main, and what is the first impression?
Roastery Stan Yeoksam Main is located at 52 Nonhyeon-ro 85-gil, 1st floor, Unit 114, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. It's an easy walk from Yeoksam Station, so we strolled over after finishing our errands nearby.
Whenever I visit somewhere for the first time, I always check out the entrance first. The clean exterior made it easy to spot right away. Roastery Stan is a café run directly by a coffee roasting company.

Four house-roasted beans and the dessert menu at Roastery Stan
One of the standout features here is that you can enjoy four different house-roasted beans. Beyond coffee, they also offer sides like fresh fruit sando (sandwich) and Greek yogurt, so it looked like a good spot to pair a simple dessert with your drink.

What is the atmosphere like inside Roastery Stan Yeoksam Main?
Once inside Roastery Stan Yeoksam Main, the atmosphere felt warm and comfortable. It wasn't too crowded or loud, which made it a nice spot to sit and chat over coffee with a friend.

It felt more like a place to sit and rest a while than just grab a takeout coffee. Yeoksam-dong has a lot of offices, so there are plenty of office workers around — this seems like the kind of Yeoksam café that comes to mind when you want a quick break with coffee.

Looking over the menu, we ended up choosing two drinks: fresh avocado coffee and Jeju matcha smoothie. Instead of the americano or latte I usually order at cafés, I wanted to try something that felt special to this particular place.
How does the fresh avocado coffee taste?

The fresh avocado coffee was what I was most curious about! Avocado and coffee together — at first I thought, "will these actually go well together?" But it worked better than expected.
The avocado's smooth, nutty character combined with the coffee made for a taste that was clearly different from your typical café latte. Rather than being overly sweet, it went down smoothly with a nutty richness that I found pretty impressive personally. It seems like a good menu to try when you're a bit tired of your usual coffee.

Since it was my first time trying this menu item, it left a stronger impression on me. If you like avocado, or if you enjoy smooth and nutty coffee, this seems worth trying at least once. I think this is the menu item I'll keep thinking about the next time I visit.
What does the Jeju matcha smoothie taste like?

The other drink my friend and I picked was the Jeju matcha smoothie. I love matcha and often order matcha drinks at cafés, so the name "Jeju matcha" alone got me excited.
After one sip, I got that cool, refreshing feeling along with the distinct aroma and flavor of matcha. Being a smoothie, it went down cold and smooth, which suited the still-warm weather perfectly. If the fresh avocado coffee felt smooth and nutty, the Jeju matcha smoothie was refreshingly cool — it was fun to switch back and forth between the two.

If you're visiting as a pair, I'd recommend ordering two different drinks like this and sharing. Even in the photos, the two drinks look completely different, right? It also seems like a good option if you're going with someone who loves coffee and someone who loves matcha.

What impressed me most was that this café is run directly by a coffee roasting company. It's not just the usual menu — with a range of house-roasted beans, fresh fruit sando, Greek yogurt, and more, I found myself wanting to try the desserts next time too. Looking at the photos, the desserts looked pretty tempting. This time we only ordered drinks, but next time I'd like to try the sando or another dessert alongside coffee.
Is parking available at Roastery Stan Yeoksam Main?
Good news for anyone visiting by car! Roastery Stan Yeoksam Main offers 1 hour of free parking. After parking at the officetel, you just need to pick up a parking ticket at the counter before you leave, so keep that in mind if you're driving. Finding a café with parking around Yeoksam or Gangnam isn't easy, so this felt like a pretty convenient touch.

Is this Yeoksam café worth a visit?
This was my first visit to Roastery Stan Yeoksam Main. I got to try an uncommon menu item like the fresh avocado coffee, and the Jeju matcha smoothie was a refreshing, memorable drink too. The atmosphere was comfortable enough for chatting with a friend, and it made me want to come back to try other coffee beans and desserts next time.
