Pastel second-floor seats at Baut, a brunch café by Dongdaegu Station
In short
Baut is a three-floor brunch café in Sincheon-dong, Dong-gu, Daegu, a 7-minute walk from Dongdaegu Station. We ordered the ciabatta sandwich for 11,000 won, the cauliflower potato cream soup for 13,500 won and an americano for 4,800 won, and ate at the pastel second-floor seats furnished in yellow and mint. The jamón, basil pesto and blueberry jam came together on the sweet side, making Baut the first place we would suggest for a date-day brunch.

Today I visited a brunch café near Dongdaegu Station with the prettiest pastel interior — seriously, photos come out gorgeous here!! 🥹
The café got famous partly for how pretty it is, but the brunch here is genuinely delicious If you're having brunch near Dongdaegu Station, this is the first place I want to recommend — let me introduce Baut!!
Where is Baut, the brunch café near Dongdaegu Station, and when is it open?
Baut is a brunch café located at 18 Dongbu-ro 26-gil, Dong-gu, Daegu, South Korea (1st floor), within a 7-minute walk of Dongdaegu Station. ⏰ Hours are Mon–Fri 10:00–20:00, weekends 10:00–21:00, and it's closed every Tuesday. 🅿️ There's also a dedicated parking lot beside the store.
It seems convenient to reach by public transit too, but we drove, and having the parking lot made it perfect for a brunch trip!!😌
As soon as you arrive, the sleek glass door and blue entrance catch your eye right away — the kind of café exterior that makes you want to walk in even if you just stumbled across it by chance!!

An interior vibe unlike anything I've seen at any other café ✨ Floor-to-ceiling windows let natural light pour in, which made it even better haha
Where do you park at Baut?
If you look to the right of the café, there's a dedicated parking zone for Café Baut! The barrier-gate lot right next to it is paid, so use this one instead.

Once you park, the store is right there next to you, so there's zero parking stress when you drive!!
Inside Baut: how the first, second and third floors differ
Let's go inside 😙

Right as you enter, the 1st floor appears — white and wood tones decorated with primary-color accents!! The owner is a genius with color; the calm black-and-white base with sharp color pops made it unique and so pretty😌

Overall it's bright and the tables are spaced far apart — it's a large café, so a lot of people were there working solo too.

The tables are wide and tall, which I love… for a brunch café these details matter, and eating here the whole time was pretty, comfortable, and perfect haha

The pastel second-floor seats at Baut
Café Baut spans three floors — the entire building is the brunch café!! Head up to the 2nd floor and the mood shifts completely, with pastel-toned tables here!! A slightly cozier, warmer feeling…♡
Ahh… it's so pretty, they decorated the whole 2nd floor using only yellow and mint furniture, and honestly this was more my personal taste ㅠㅠ
The whole space is wide and the tables are spaced generously so it feels private — comfortable seats, pretty views… exactly my type.
The lighting is mostly indirect, so it glows softly and pretty, and photos come out amazing!!! The background is so pretty that anywhere you sit works…@@

The café view is pretty too, and the wall-side seats have outlets, so sipping coffee with brunch while doing some relaxed personal work here seems like it would spark inspiration><

Baut's gallery-like third floor
The 3rd floor is really modern and pretty, and I thought it felt like a gallery too…! Wondering why?
Ta-da — so pretty, right… one of the widest and most appealing interiors of any brunch café I've visited…!! I usually love wood-tone cafés most, but somehow this modern all-white style looked so pretty too. I want to go back again🥹
Dressed up and out shopping at Shinsegae Department Store in Daegu?? >>> Come to Baut for brunch 🙏
The restrooms on the 1st and 2nd floors!! Clean and pleasant, which I loved.
Baut's brunch menu and prices

Here's the menu!! Of course there's a whole range of coffee, and I was so curious about Baut's coffee ㅠㅠ but since we were eating brunch, I held off… next time I'm definitely trying Baut's coffee.

Brunch options are toast, soup, and salad!! We wanted the mushroom soup but it turned out to be a seasonal item
- Ciabatta sandwich ₩11,000
- Cauliflower potato cream soup ₩13,500
- Americano ₩4,800
so this is what we ordered!! On weekends they also have cinnamon buns, so coffee plus a sweet dessert is a great way to end things.

Also, if you've had lunch already, blueberry cheesecake, chocolate gateau, and banana pudding are waiting for you haha
How Baut's ciabatta sandwich and cauliflower potato cream soup taste

After ordering, the food came out faster than expected!

So pretty right…ㅠ the plate colors are gorgeous and the plating is so clean and lovely that I immediately posted it to my Instagram story. Saving this as a date-course spot for sure ✨

We'd come specifically for brunch and were a bit hungry(?) at the time, and the sandwich was bigger than expected!! The soup came with sourdough too, which was great to pair with it.

Since it's a café first, let me review the coffee first — it's a smooth, sweet bean with zero acidity that everyone can agree on haha. I think iced americano is where brunch pairing really shines, and sure enough it matched perfectly and tasted great😙

Cauliflower potato cream soup, 13,500 won
This is the cauliflower potato cream soup!! First time trying a potato soup, and wow… it was creamy and rich, very similar to the mushroom soup I usually love, and so delicious…
The texture is really thick but not heavy at all, and the flavor hits with a burst of cream first, then a very subtle potato note at the end!! It's savory and full of umami, so it seems perfect for kids' palates too!!

The soup has cauliflower chunks inside, and since this vegetable has barely any strong flavor, even I — a bit of a picky eater — enjoyed it fully haha

The jamón ciabatta sandwich, 11,000 won
And this is the ciabatta sandwich!! Soft, fluffy, classic ciabatta packed full inside, so it filled us up nicely!!
See it here — tomato, romaine lettuce, and thick, thick cheese!!! How do you resist that combo with basil pesto and blueberry jam…
The meat is jambón, with zero gamey smell and it blends so well with the other ingredients that I gasped in delight with every bite🤤 My boyfriend, trying basil pesto for the first time, went 'oh?! this is really good' and ate happily haha. The blueberry jam adds a slightly sweet touch too, so it's a flavor kids and grown-up sweet-toothed folks like me would both love.
Brunch near Dongdaegu Station: is Baut worth a visit?
They say what looks good tastes good, and pretty brunch in a pretty place was so delicious and relaxing — every moment at this café was happy and lovely ㅠㅠ♡

If you're looking for a great spot near Dongdaegu Station, I recommend brunch café Baut!! haha It's the first place I'd suggest for a date course, and the food is so good, I also recommend coming for a relaxed weekend morning brunch 🙂↕️
