Suwon Haenggung-dong restaurant, Caesar salad on taco pizza: Low Five

In short

Low Five Sinpung is a Western restaurant on a residential stretch of Sinpung-ro in Haenggung-dong, Suwon. Booking through CatchTable before Monday opening got waiting number 2, and the table shared a half-and-half pizza of Tex-Mex taco and corn, truffle cream pasta and a classic Caesar salad. Splitting the pizza crust and piling the Caesar salad on top eats like a light sandwich, making Low Five Sinpung an easy Haenggung-dong date course.

Where to park near Low Five Sinpung

Low Five Sinpung is on a residential street with no dedicated parking lot, so you'll need to use a nearby public parking lot.

Sinpung-dong Public Parking Lot is reserved for residents, so it's only free between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. It's popular, so there's a good chance it's full. We used Jangan-dong Public Parking Lot instead, about a 5-minute walk from Low Five Sinpung — the first 60 minutes are free and it's ₩500 per 10 minutes after that, which was convenient.

Joining the waiting list on CatchTable

Waiting outside Low Five Sinpung before opening

We arrived around 11:20 on a Monday and put our name down on CatchTable right away. We got there before the weekday opening time, but there were already people who'd arrived before us!

Waiting number 2! While you sit at the outdoor table, a staff member comes out with the menu and explains everything. Just a heads up — if you don't check in within 10 minutes of being called, your spot gets cancelled, so stay close by!

Inside Low Five Sinpung: a romantic space for a date

The exterior was so pretty that I was curious about the inside, and once I stepped in, I liked it even more. The soft lighting and simple interior gave off a great atmosphere — kind of like a European local restaurant, haha. We chose the red sofa seats, which were cushy and comfortable to eat in.

They set the table with napkins, cutlery, water, and pickles. Additional orders can be placed through the QR code attached to each table.

What's on the Low Five Sinpung menu?

Low Five Sinpung menu

Apparently Low Five started out mainly as a brunch place selling sandwiches and pasta. As it got more and more popular, it became a must-wait spot. Reviews said the pizza is popular too and the visuals are insane, so today I picked a little of everything — pizza, pasta, and salad.

How does the food at Low Five Sinpung taste?

Zero-sugar cola with a cup of ice

First came the zero-sugar cola! They also gave us a cold cup of ice, which was nice.

Ta-da~ everything we ordered arrived. Low Five Sinpung has an open kitchen, so you can watch the chefs cooking in real time. I guess that means they're confident about hygiene too, right? 👍

Classic Caesar salad 🥗

The Caesar salad came out generously covered in Reggiano cheese. It had all kinds of leafy greens, red onion, and a topping of what looked like ham or bacon — a refreshing Caesar salad. The dressing was already tossed evenly through it, so all we had to do was scoop and eat, which was convenient.

The savory, slightly salty dressing worked really well as something to eat before the main dishes!

Half-and-half pizza 🍕 Tex-Mex taco pizza & corn pizza

The visuals are amazing, right? The toppings were generous and the crust was baked crisp all the way to the edge.

The taco pizza is built on a spicy chipotle base with shrimp, hot chicken, salsa topping, and cilantro (cilantro can be left out). This was my favorite of the two — it really captured that distinct taco charm. You know how so-called "taco-flavored" snacks just taste like chipotle sauce and nothing like an actual taco? This pizza had fresh bell pepper, red onion, and cilantro on top, so it kept the taco flavor while still tasting like pizza — genuinely delicious. A flavor I want again ♡

A slice of taco pizza topped with plump shrimp

The plump shrimp were tasty too, and there's hot sauce and grated cheese at the self-serve bar to go with the pizza — just help yourself.

I tried sprinkling grated cheese over the slightly spicy pizza, and it had real charm. I'll definitely have to come back for this pizza... I have way too many photos of it because it's exactly my kind of taco pizza ♡

Next up, the corn pizza. Reviews of Low Five were full of people eating this corn pizza, so I'd been saving it as a must-try.

Corn pizza topped with grilled corn

It's topped with white truffle cream, bacon, chili shrimp, butter seasoning, and grilled corn. The combination of white sauce and corn is the best.

Hot sauce paired really well with the corn pizza. The popping texture of the corn kernels and the smoky char on the boneless corn had real charm.

One tasty bite

Pizza crust topped with Caesar salad

The pizza crust is tasty plain, but split it in half and pile Caesar salad on top and it's fresh and delicious, haha — total sandwich vibes!

Truffle cream pasta 🍝

Thick, creamy truffle mushroom cream pasta

My friend's number one pick was the cream pasta. She raved that it was seriously so good. The doneness of the noodles, the seasoning, and the mushroom texture all worked together perfectly.

It's packed with thick, creamy sauce, but it wasn't heavy — the mushroom and cream flavors were nicely balanced. If I weren't driving, this was the kind of dish that made me want a cold beer.

We dipped the pizza crust in it too and wiped the sauce clean!

Empty plates, all cleared

Cleared! It had been a while since I'd been out to Haenggung-dong, and I was glad to find a restaurant with such a great atmosphere and great food ~! Next time I'd love to sit by the window and have a glass of wine or beer 😍

If you're looking for a great restaurant for a date in Haenggung-dong, Suwon, I recommend Low Five Sinpung!
