Suwon pizza restaurant with a teen, 5pm corn pizza: Low Five Sinpung

I went on a Haenggung-dong date with my middle-school-aged kid to eat pizza, which they love, at Low Five Sinpung — a well-known spot in the neighborhood. My husband and I had been before, and the corn pizza left an impression, both the vibe and the taste were great.

Where is Low Five Sinpung, and where do you park?

It's located in an alley behind the Ipark Museum of Art. There's no dedicated parking lot, but you can use paid parking at Seongyeong Library, the museum, or the Jangan-dong public lot nearby.

On a nice day like this, Low Five Sinpung is great for sitting outside to eat pizza and for taking photos too.

There's a menu board with prices posted right at the entrance, so you know what to expect before going in — nice touch. The pet entry rules are also clearly posted, and as long as you follow them, you can bring your dog in *_*

Arriving at 5pm: is there a wait after break time?

Closed every Wednesday, opens at 11:30am, closes at 9pm, with a break time from 3pm to 4:50pm. We showed up at 5pm and there were several other parties already, but we could sit down right away with no wait — nice. There are all sorts of tables, big and small, so just grab whichever seat suits you.

The pretty lighting adds a nice touch, and Low Five Sinpung has guests of all ages eating here, not just couples on dates.

The window seats are so pretty too >.< By the time we were leaving, the big table for six in the middle had filled up and the place was almost fully booked.

There's also a self-serve bar set up in the middle of the restaurant with tissues, cutlery, parmesan, hot sauce, and water, all easy to grab yourself.

Each table comes with a basic setting, and once we sat down they brought over jalapeño pickles along with water — a real Haenggung-dong go-to spot.

Every table has a QR code menu you can easily pull up on your phone, complete with photos — handy for reference. Pasta, salad, steak, pizza, drinks, alcohol — a solid Haenggung-dong restaurant with a wide range.

Ooh ~ the avocado kimchi fried rice my husband and I loved last time, and a salad I ordered so my kid would eat some vegetables ^.^*

After we ordered, the grapefruit ade and cola came out first — the ade has grapefruit chips in it, sweet and a little bitter, and it pairs really well with pizza. Delicious.

Caesar salad, ₩12,000

First up, the salad — it comes out piled up generously, mountain-high, with really nutty parmesan on top, and you can add lemon juice to taste.

Fresh salad greens with cherry tomatoes, parmesan, and sliced onion — clean but nutty, the kind of flavor that keeps you coming back for more.

Avocado kimchi fried rice, ₩14,000

Then the avocado kimchi fried rice — you can also order it without avocado if you prefer, but since we love avocado, we went straight for the avocado version. Only ₩1,000 more ^.^)

Ripe avocado is nutty with a great texture, in my opinion, and there's spicy, thick-cut meat mixed in too — the nutty kimchi fried rice has serious umami and is so good. It might be a bit spicy for kids, but pairing it with avocado and egg makes it just right.

The signature corn pizza, ₩25,000

And then, what might be Low Five Sinpung's signature dish — the corn pizza >.< Last time I got it half-and-half, but the corn pizza was so good I ordered it whole this time. Stretchy cheese pull with perfectly roasted corn right on top >.<

There's a savory sauce with a spicy powdered seasoning too *_* though I honestly forget exactly what it was... haha

The crust is chewy and springy, and along with the popping corn kernels, there's plump shrimp in there too — delicious.

Taking the leftover pizza home: final verdict on Low Five Sinpung

We polished off the fried rice and salad, and neatly boxed up the three leftover pizza slices to take home :-) Low Five Sinpung, a Haenggung-dong favorite, is a place where even a simple meal feels special — it works for all ages, the pizza is great, the staff are friendly, and since it's right in the Haenggung-dong district, it makes for a lovely date spot too.
