Hongmigwan is a Chinese restaurant with house-made noodles in Buk-gu, Busan, right across from Gupo Market and a 7-minute walk from Deokcheon Station. The ₩26,000 lunch set, served at lunchtime only, brings sweet and sour pork for two, four chili shrimp and a choice of two noodle bowls between jjajangmyeon and jjamppong, all seasoned cleanly rather than heavily. For a lunch before or after shopping at Gupo Market, Hongmigwan delivers both generous portions and real value.

With chronic frizz and thick, long hair, the writer had a full volume magic straightening treatment and a cut from Team Leader Ain, who assessed the damaged hair in a consultation first and then smoothed the frizz with minimal further damage. After the treatment the frizz was gone and the volume and C-curl came back, making it the most satisfying magic straightening the writer has had recently.
