Busan shabu kalguksu restaurant with free parking: Yunujae

In short

Yunujae Munhyeon Shabu Kalguksu is a shabu-shabu and noodle restaurant in Nam-gu, Busan. I visited for a family meal, ordering the spicy red-broth set for 2 and crispy seafood pajeon, with noodles and fried rice included. Verdict: an easy, satisfying family dinner from parking through fried rice.

Guide to the commercial underground parking lot

A quick parking tip, since it can be confusing! At the back of the building, the resident-only lot is on the left and the commercial parking lot is on the right. Go into the commercial lot on the right! The underground parking garage was very spacious, so parking was easy 👏

Restaurant seating with wide spacing between tables
Spacious restaurant seating for family visits

There is plenty of space between tables, plus roomy seating that is great for family visits.

High chair available at the restaurant

They even have high chairs for little ones! So many restaurants without high chairs can be inconvenient, but Yunujae Munhyeon Shabu Kalguksu really has thoughtful touches among Munhyeon-dong restaurants 👍

Spicy red broth and an all-included set

Yunujae Munhyeon Shabu Kalguksu says it uses house-made noodles developed over a long time. They are meant to be bouncy and chewy without getting soggy easily—I’ll tell you what I thought later 😊

As you would expect from a good Busan shabu-shabu spot, the menu is built around the essentials. There is red or white broth, with mild, regular, and spicy options. You can add mushrooms and minari (water celery) if needed. The truly great-value part is that ordering shabu-shabu alone includes both kalguksu (knife-cut noodles) and the ingredients for fried rice. We ordered the spicy red broth for 2 and crispy seafood pajeon!

The table has instructions for enjoying the meal, along with wasabi and soy sauce.

At the self-serve bar, there is broth, kimchi made with Korean cabbage, and seokbakji (cubed radish kimchi).

Shabu kalguksu that was spicy but not hot

Shabu kalguksu for 2 (₩22,000). Our spicy red-broth shabu-shabu arrived. Can you see how generously they gave us minari and mushrooms? 🤤

Add lots of meat, and once it starts boiling, lower the induction burner to 5. Then eat it with the vegetables and mushrooms! Cook already~~

Doesn’t it look so good? ㅠ.ㅠ I had it yesterday, but I’m already craving this shabu-shabu place again. It was labeled spicy, yet it was not hot at all—just pleasantly punchy.

Shabu-shabu with freshly made cabbage kimchi

The kimchi, made that day with Korean cabbage, was so crisp and refreshing. It went perfectly with the shabu-shabu, so I had unlimited refills! (๑ᵔ⤙ᵔ๑)

Crispy outside, moist inside: seafood pajeon

Crispy seafood pajeon (₩16,000). Made with a special recipe, it was incredibly crisp, just like its name says.

The outside was super crispy~, while the inside stayed moist. It was packed with king prawns and squid, and the onion dipping sauce served alongside made it extra special. A must-order...◝✩ 𐩢𐩺

Chewy kalguksu and fried rice to finish

What comes after the meat? Kalguksu and fried rice, of course! The fact that both are included in the set—such crazy value .◜ɞ◝♡

I said the house-made noodles were really springy, right? They truly were chewy and delicious. I don’t usually like kalguksu or udon noodles because I dislike noodles with a strong floury taste, but these had such a nice bounce and soaked up the broth so well—I just kept eating them.

And of course, we did not forget the fried rice to finish.

Finishing fried rice with aged kimchi

Doesn’t it look perfectly fried? The broth was neither too salty nor bland, so both the fried rice and kalguksu cooked up deliciously. Maybe the aged kimchi they add to the fried rice is the secret; we kept tasting its little crunchy bites and ate until we were absolutely stuffed 😅

Yunujae Munhyeon Shabu Kalguksu is in Munhyeon-dong, an easy area to reach from anywhere in Busan. The set includes shabu-shabu, kalguksu, and fried rice, bringing both value and quality. With convenient parking and a family-friendly setup, I would return 100%, haha.
