I had plans near Wangsimni and ended up stumbling into this hidden alley café — here's my review ☕️

I'm always on the hunt for cozy, atmospheric spots, and I found one that hit the spot perfectly: a Wangsimni café called Nerdy Blue Burrow!

Where is Nerdy Blue Burrow, and what are its hours?

Nerdy Blue Burrow is a café at 15 Gosanja-ro 12-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, in an alley close to Wangsimni Station. It's open Tuesday to Sunday from 12:00 to 21:30, and Monday from 12:00 to 16:00.

Even the storefront catches your eye, with its stylish teal walls and unique logo. It felt retro yet hip all at once.

The space takes its name from the Burrow, Ron's house in Harry Potter, and maybe that's why it already felt warm and comfortable before I even stepped inside.

Walking into Nerdy Blue Burrow, soft, warm lighting wraps around the whole space.

From the vintage standing lamps to the walls covered in guestbook scribbles, the interior feels like you've dropped by someone's secret hideout 💡

On one side, there are pencils, memo paper, and several guestbook notebooks where you can leave a note. It's such a great Wangsimni Station café for jotting down thoughts or memories over a cup of coffee ✏️

Is there a restroom inside the café?

The restroom situation matters when you're café-hopping, right? Nerdy Blue Burrow has a clean restroom right inside the store, which made things really convenient!

There's also a doodle pad and a Rummikub set on one side, so it looks like a great café to doodle or play board games with a friend.

Cold brew and hand drip: coffee roasted daily

Nerdy Blue Burrow clearly has a special passion for cold brew and hand-drip coffee! You can taste slow-brewed coffee made from beans roasted with care every day, so I'd really recommend Nerdy Blue Burrow to coffee lovers ☕️

They also have a variety of drinks and their signature pudding desserts ready to go, so I ordered without hesitation!

We ordered hazelnut choco pudding, an iced latte, and Nerdy Milk! They arrived beautifully arranged on a yellow tray, and just looking at it made my mouth water 😋

Iced latte, 5,500 won

This iced latte has a charming nutty flavor! The milk and espresso shot form pretty layers, and once mixed together, you really taste the clean, nutty flavor of the beans 🥛

Nerdy Milk, 6,900 won

Nerdy Milk is the signature drink named after the café itself! It's a Nutella choco latte topped with soft cream and a dusting of cocoa powder. It's nutty yet packed with sweet chocolate flavor. Thanks to its rich, sweet chocolate taste, it's a drink almost anyone would like ✨

Hazelnut choco pudding, 6,900 won

This was the menu item I was most looking forward to! The choco pudding is topped with a generous amount of chocolate powder, hazelnuts, and chocolate chips 🍫 One spoonful melts smoothly in your mouth, filling it with rich chocolate flavor and nutty hazelnut aroma! It's not overly sweet, just a pleasant sweetness, and it pairs amazingly well with coffee 🍮
