Decaf cold brew café in Wangsimni, Seoul at night: Nerdy Blue Burrow

Today I'm introducing Nerdy Blue Burrow, a café near Wangsimni Station. It's known for its cold brew and desserts, and the slightly dim, moody interior made me lose track of time chatting with a friend haha 😄

Wangsimni café Nerdy Blue Burrow is a short walk from Wangsimni Station Exit 9 — head toward Sowol Art Hall for about 3 minutes, then turn into the alley just to the right of the Sowol Art Hall parking lot. 😄

It's a standalone building in a residential alley — here's the exterior of Wangsimni café Nerdy Blue Burrow.

The sun was setting and things were getting a bit dark, but the exterior lighting and glow spilling from the windows made the café easy to spot.

Inside Nerdy Blue Burrow: atmosphere and seating

Inside, Nerdy Blue Burrow is painted in the same blue and white as the exterior, and the decorations starting right from the entrance wall give it a distinct sense of personality 💕

Right as you step in it feels very cozy, and there's one sofa seat too, but since the space is compact, most of the seating is two-person tables.

It was evening and the place was packed! Luckily a spot opened up next to the air conditioner, right by a light fixture, so we got to sit and rest 👍

The inside has a quiet, calm mood but it's not bad for talking — before I knew it, time had flown by chatting with my friend 😆

Wangsimni café Nerdy Blue Burrow specializes in cold brew and hand-drip coffee, but they also have other menu items (non-coffee, alcohol), so check the menu board ^^

And there are dessert sets to enjoy with coffee too — fresh cheesecake, hazelnut chocolate pudding, banana pudding, and classic financier 💕

We ordered Nerdy Blue Burrow's signature set, the Cheating Plate.

The Cheating Plate — "Diet starts tomorrow. Today, we escape."

The Cheating Plate is a dessert set with two cold brews paired with fresh cheesecake, banana pudding (scoop), and classic financier, all served with house-baked granola — "in the end, it was such a delicious and satisfying set 💕"

Decaf cold brew (+900 won) when evening coffee feels like too much

Sometimes you want coffee in the evening but the caffeine makes you hesitate — at Nerdy Blue Burrow you can choose decaf (+₩900), so I picked it without a second thought!

Honestly, it was evening, but also I often get heart palpitations from regular cold brew, so having a decaf option was such a relief ^^

My first cold brew in a while. The decaf iced cold brew had a notably clean finish and almost no bitterness — smooth, balanced iced coffee :)

Next time I want to try the cold brew latte too ^^

How do the three Cheating Plate desserts taste?

Next up, the desserts! A single plate combining fresh cheesecake, banana pudding, classic financier, and house-baked granola — it looked gorgeous too!

Fresh cheesecake

The one I was most curious about was the fresh cheesecake, and one bite in, I was surprised by how soft it was haha

The deep flavor of Basque cheesecake combined with the creamy cheese cream — a taste that makes you give an instant thumbs-up!

Banana pudding and house-baked granola

Next was the banana pudding, a style I was trying for the first time — soft cream with banana tucked inside, paired with crunchy granola for a great combo! With the granola and banana, it felt like a healthy dessert :)

Classic financier

And finally, the classic financier. Crisp outside, slightly chewy and soft inside — I enjoyed it a lot ^^

All three desserts had their own character while pairing beautifully with the cold brew, so if you visit Nerdy Blue Burrow, I recommend the signature set ^^

I had a relaxed evening tea time at Nerdy Blue Burrow, a Wangsimni café with real character, and it turns out this is a branch of 'Nerdy Blue' café in Cheongnyangni haha.
