Snow-ice patbingsu and bacon mayo hot dog at Jamsil Stadium's

The Station cream shrimp I first tried at Champions Field and LG Park, now at a Jamsil Stadium food truck

I'd never made it to Jamsil Baseball Stadium and really wanted to go before it disappears. I finally made it out for an LG vs Samsung game. Another fun part of going to a baseball game is trying all the good food, and I was extra excited to hear Jamsil has food trucks right next to the ticket booth.

Where are the Jamsil Stadium food trucks?

The food trucks are right next to the outfield Gate 1 ticket booth.

Next to Gate 1 there's an unmanned kiosk for exchanging pre-booked tickets, and Ippeun Yeou Hot Dog is right beside it.

Ippeun Yeou Hot Dog's bacon mayo

A hot dog that works both as a meal and as beer food — feels especially right for a baseball stadium. The owner really does look like a pretty fox, haha.

Baseball means Jamsil, hot dogs mean Ippeun Yeou Hot Dog. Sounds like it's a famous hot dog brand from Gyeongju. Now I'm really curious about the taste.

Besides hot dogs, the fries and shakes look popular too. Since I was planning to order cream shrimp and nachos as well, I just went with the bacon mayo.

Ippeun Yeou Hot Dog is on the left of the ticket booth, and Bingdongdaeng bingsu sits right on the other side.

The weather was so clear and nice, but it was a 5pm game so the sun was still strong and it got hot. I picked bingsu to cool down. The tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) looked really good too, but with the heat, bingsu won out. Normally I'd order the choco oreo bingsu, but chocolate felt too heavy in this heat, so I went with the cool snow-flake red bean patbingsu instead.

Station cream shrimp, a more reasonable portion than at Champions Field

This was my first time trying Station cream shrimp at Champions Field, and I loved it, but the line there was so long and the portion was big and pricey. Here at the food truck I could get a reasonable portion at a fair price, quickly — I love that.

You can choose between cream and salsa sauce. Unlike at Champions Field, nachos come included, which makes it perfect beer food.

Besides the sauce, you can also swap shrimp for fried pork.

With all this good food bought at leisure from the Jamsil Stadium food trucks, I headed straight in to my seat.

The sky was pretty and the weather was great. I'm a losing-team fan, so I felt a little excited flutter today, thinking maybe the weather meant a win was coming.

Bingdongdaeng's snow-flake red bean patbingsu — still not melted much later

In the hot weather I pulled out the Bingdongdaeng snow-flake red bean patbingsu first. Quite a bit of time had passed, but it hadn't melted at all. There was no cooler bag or ice packed with it, so I was really surprised.

Carrying so many things at once tipped it a bit to one side. It's loaded with red beans and generous, easy-to-eat pieces of injeolmi (rice cake). There's a cute chocolate piece with the Bingdongdaeng logo on top.

After sitting for a while, the sun got too intense, so I moved indoors. Digging into a big spoonful of the snow-flake bingsu, all the heat that had built up while sitting outside just melted away. So refreshing and delicious.

Sweet and cool, with plenty of red beans and rice cake for great texture too. Best patbingsu I've had. A flavor both adults and kids would love.

The cream shrimp is even better once it's cooled a bit

After the Bingdongdaeng patbingsu cooled me down, I headed back in. I bought a beer to have with the Station cream shrimp.

Cream shrimp that's better once it cools. It gets crunchier and chewier, so I think it tastes even better a little while after you buy it.

I liked that the portion was just right. At a baseball game you want to try a bunch of things, and if the portion is too big you either can't finish it and have to throw it out, or you miss out on other menu items.

Plump shrimp in a slightly spicy cream sauce — not greasy at all, and it goes really well with beer.

You don't even need a table seat to eat it neatly, so I'd recommend it as beer food.

Lots of people around me had also bought Station cream shrimp, and I saw kids enjoying the nachos too. Even after some time, the nachos stayed crisp instead of going soggy, so they were tasty right to the end.

The bacon mayo hot dog, pulled out hungry in extra innings

The game couldn't be decided in nine innings and went into extra innings. It was so close and tense I couldn't bring myself to leave. As I got hungry, I pulled out the Ippeun Yeou hot dog.

A hot dog packed with bacon. The sauce was so good and filling — perfect at that hungry moment.

With all that good food and cheering hard, we won a nail-biter that went all the way to the 11th inning. First time celebrating a win like that. Go Samsung!
