Seongsu pasta restaurant with a baby chair: truffle gnocchi & lasagna

Seongsu has so many great restaurants and pretty cafés, but when you're visiting with a baby, you end up scrutinizing not just the vibe but the seating, the space, and whether it's actually manageable to eat there 👶🏻🩵

I went out for a Seoul Forest outing with a friend and my baby, and we stopped by Billadeubeulleu Seongsu, a pasta and brunch spot. The atmosphere was great and the food was delicious, so I wanted to introduce it — for anyone looking for a pasta or brunch place near Seoul Forest after a date there, or a Seongsu restaurant that's good to visit with a baby.

Location and parking at Billadeubeulleu Seongsu

Today's Seongsu/Seoul Forest restaurant, Billadeubeulleu Seongsu, is about a 4-minute walk from Exit 5 of Seoul Forest Station. It's right in front of Seoul Forest, so it's the perfect spot to eat after a Seoul Forest date.

🚘 There's no parking on site, so you'll need to use a nearby public parking lot. I looked one up separately using the Modu Parking Lot app before visiting. (Nearby Galleria Foret is recommended!)

The Seongsu branch, complete with a terrace

I'd visited the Haebangchon branch of Billadeubeulleu before, but the Seongsu branch is bigger. There's an outdoor terrace too, so with the weather warming up, it's such a nice spot to eat outside ☺️

There's more terrace seating inside as well. It feels like sitting in a lush green thicket 🍀 (the terrace seats are usable in spring and fall)

The space concept: 'Atelier della Musa'

The concept for the Seongsu branch is Atelier della Musa (Atelier of the Muse). Modeled after an artist's seaside villa and studio in a southern European resort town, the space is meant to capture the 'muse' the artist longs for. Thanks to that, it really felt like stepping into an exotic, relaxed southern European resort.

Good to know if you're going with a baby

Since we were visiting with a baby that day, we picked an indoor table in case she got too warm outside. It was our first time eating with a baby in the middle of trendy Seongsu, and having a baby chair ready made it easy to relax and eat 👶🏻

✔️ I'd read that the space is too tight for strollers, so I came wearing my baby in a carrier instead.

Billadeubeulleu Seongsu menu

Billadeubeulleu Seongsu's signature dishes are the alligot cheese lasagna with a cheese waterfall poured over it (a must-order ✨) and the Fiorentina-style T-bone butter sizzling steak with clarified butter poured over it.

There was a seashell sitting on every table, and at first I wondered 'what's this for?' — turns out there's a QR code on the back of it. From checking the menu to ordering, everything is done by scanning the QR code on your table.

Matilda French lemonade — ₩5,000

I ordered a lemonade to drink alongside the meal. Even just the color felt refreshing, and it matched the southern European resort interior perfectly. The seashell added to the whole vibe too 🐚🩵

Alligot cheese lasagna — ₩22,000

This is Billadeubeulleu Seongsu's signature dish — a must-order if you visit 👍🏻. At first it shows up looking like a fairly standard lasagna, but that's not the end of it — Billadeubeulleu's signature performance is still to come.

They pour a cheese waterfall over the lasagna right at your table, and it's impossible not to film it 🫶🏻. The sauce they pour is called 'alligot cheese,' made by mixing mashed potatoes with cheese.

The softness of the potato combined with the chewy texture of the cheese went really well with the lasagna. It was so good I could've just eaten the cheese sauce on its own 👏🏻👏🏻

It's not too heavily seasoned, and it's soft and delicious — I'd highly recommend this dish if you visit Billadeubeulleu Seongsu. I'd enjoyed this same dish at the Haebangchon branch before, and it was just as good here at Seongsu. (Confirmed: it really is the signature dish 🤍)

Gorgonzola truffle cream gnocchi — ₩21,000

To go with the lasagna, I also ordered the gnocchi. Last time at the Haebangchon branch I had the octopus, but this time I wanted to try something different, so I went with the gnocchi. It had a chewy yet soft texture that paired well with the sauce — a dish I really enjoyed.

It's a gorgonzola cream sauce with added truffle flavor, and it's genuinely delicious. It's on the saltier side, so it's best eaten while it's still hot 🙂

The lasagna and gnocchi went really well together too. Everything I tried at Billadeubeulleu was delicious, so next time I'll have to try other dishes. I was supposed to try the olive oil ice cream too but forgot... it's apparently really good, so I'm kicking myself 🥹 (Writing this review just so I remember — you have to try it next time!! It's supposed to be amazing)

In short

From the signature lasagna to the gnocchi, everything we ate was delicious, and best of all, with a baby chair on hand, eating there with a baby felt pretty low-stress. If you want a good meal after a Seoul Forest outing, or you're looking for a Seongsu restaurant you can bring your baby to, I'd recommend Billadeubeulleu Seongsu 👶🏻🩵
