Sold-out pizza bread pickup at weekday evening bakery: Tomoru Bakery

In short

Tomoru Bakery is a bakery near Songdo Central Park on Haedoji-ro in Yeonsu, Incheon, run by a certified master baker. Visiting on a weekday evening with her mother, the writer found the baguettes already sold out and the display cases nearly empty, but the leftover pizza bread and cookies she ate at the store table turned out crisp outside with beautifully layered texture inside, satisfying both mother and daughter. Since Tomoru Bakery uses no preservatives and everything is meant to be eaten the same day, calling ahead to reserve is the way to go if there's a specific bread you want.

Wait, most of the bread is already gone on a weekday evening?

My mother and I had been to Songdo, Incheon a few times before, but this was our first time near Central Park. We heard there was a bakery you absolutely had to stop by on the way, so we went in full of expectations...

It's a weekday evening and most of the bread is already sold out...!?

I was shocked to see the empty display cases the moment we arrived — this is genuinely a hidden gem! Let me give you the honest, real story of Tomoru Bakery, the bakery near Songdo Central Park!

Cozy interior of the bakery

The dignity of a certified master baker — different from the basics up

The inside of the shop had a cozy atmosphere. Even though it was a weekday evening, so much bread had already sold that the display cases looked pretty bare.

But then I saw a wall covered in impressive certificates and awards, and it instantly clicked why this place is so popular.

This bakery near Songdo Central Park, Tomoru Bakery, has its dough kneaded and baked directly by a certified master baker (a nationally recognized pastry craftsman), so of course it couldn't taste anything but amazing 😎👍

  • Organic flour & natural sourdough starter
  • AOP-certified butter & antibiotic-free free-range eggs
  • No artificial additives (zero preservatives)

Also, this isn't factory-stamped bread — you can watch the whole baking process through the open kitchen, which boosted my trust in the place even more!!

A real hotspot where the reservation calls just keep coming

My mother and I absolutely love baguettes! Unfortunately, all the baguettes had already sold out by daytime 😭 When I asked a staff member, they said that in the evenings, the phone rings nonstop with customers reserving bread to pick up the next day.

Honestly, I thought they were just saying that — like, come on, really? But while we were eating our bread, a call actually came in reserving 5-6 baguettes at once, so I realized it was completely true 😱👏

Among what was left — red bean bread, corn panettone, salt bread, olive ciabatta, castella, and chestnut bread — we settled, a bit disappointed, for pizza bread to eat as a light dinner and some cookies for a snack.

They also have occasion cakes

Oh! They also sell a mango sand cake loaded with fresh mango that rivals Sungsimdang's version, so this could be perfect for anyone looking for a celebration cake.

They even have number candles and cone party hats, so you wouldn't need to go shopping for supplies separately.

The bewitching pizza bread that won over our picky taste buds

After buying various breads and cookies, since there were two tables inside where you could eat in, we decided to have a quick bite before our stroll around Songdo Central Park.

We set out two milks and the pizza bread and took a bite...

Wow... I wish there was one of these in my neighborhood!

When my mother says this, the game's over.

Cross-section of the pizza bread after one bite

Both my mother and I are self-proclaimed bread fanatics who don't get satisfied by just any bread, but this was genuinely, truly delicious.

Crisp on the outside, with the layered texture perfectly intact inside, not overly rich or sweet but clean and light — it had that addictive quality where you just keep reaching for another bite!

Even the cookies — every single one, none to throw away!!!! — were genuinely delicious!!!! They said they age the dough at a low temperature for at least 18 hours, and that they bake honestly all the way through, not just for looks — and yeah, the flavor really does linger in your mouth longer, noticeably different.

What was disappointing and a visiting tip

Honestly, if I'd known it would be this good, I would've come on the last day of the trip and swept up one of everything to take home on the KTX. Such a shame! 😭

All the bread here has no artificial additives or preservatives, so you need to eat it the same day you buy it. That's really the only downside — you can't stock up in advance. 🥐 😭 🍞

A place that generously uses good ingredients and bakes with real care! If you're looking for a proper bakery near Songdo Central Park, I strongly recommend Tomoru Bakery 👍
