Let me recommend a café in Unjeong with both great coffee and great baked treats :) It’s Pound Coffee Unjeong Main Branch! The coffee and baked treats are both delicious, there’s parking, and the atmosphere is lovely, so it’s somewhere I go often!

Best of all, the view outside the windows is so green, making it a great place to relax over a cup of coffee, haha.

As you would expect from a great coffee spot in Unjeong, there is a wide range of coffee drinks, plus non-coffee and ice cream options for those who do not drink coffee. The non-coffee choices looked delicious too, and it is a nice place to come with children, haha.

Pound Coffee has not only coffee but also a wide selection of baked treats. Especially if you love financiers, canelés, and madeleines, you might lose your mind a little, haha.

The baked treats are made fresh every day, so I could enjoy them with even more peace of mind. There were so many kinds that I spent ages deciding what to have, then chose several this time.

First, the iced café latte! Personally, I think the lattes here are so good that I want to recommend this as a great latte spot in Unjeong.

The coffee and milk blended so well that it was perfect with the baked treats. A sip of latte with a sweet baked treat is such a good combination, haha.

And then, financiers, which I love! It feels like choosing only one baked treat would be a shame, so I always end up ordering several 🤣

Salt chocolate madeleine and hazelnut chocolate financier

The salt chocolate madeleine combined chocolate sweetness with a savory salty note, so it went wonderfully with coffee. If you love sweet desserts, I think you will like this combination!

It had little pieces of chocolate dotted throughout, which made it fun to bite into, and the sweet-and-salty balance was so good~

The hazelnut chocolate financier also had large pieces of chocolate inside, and the hazelnut gave it a lovely subtle aroma.

It is a dessert that goes so well with coffee! With so many financier flavors, this was a café where choosing was part of the fun. Above all, perhaps because the baked treats are made fresh every day, they felt even fresher? And they were delicious, haha.

I packed up the remaining financiers and ate them at home. I simply kept them at room temperature, and even after a day, they were still as delicious as they were at the café~
