Songdo, Pohang restaurant for burrata and soup spaghetti: Plan A
In short
Plan A Restaurant is a Western-style restaurant with East Sea views on the 4th floor of a building on Huimangdae-ro in Songdo, Pohang. On a weekend lunch visit with a dog brought in inside a carrier, the order placed from the table tablet was burrata cheese salad, cheongyang pepper aglio olio and shrimp soup spaghetti with six shrimp; the wait was a little long because Plan A Restaurant was busy, but both the punchy aglio olio and the soup spaghetti delivered. If you want the ocean view as well as the food, book through Naver Reservations before you go.

Today I'm posting my review of Plan A Restaurant, a well-known spot in Songdo, Pohang!!
What made Plan A even better was that it's dog-friendly...! We were out and about in Pohang with our dog and it was great being able to bring her in. Of course, she had to stay in her carrier!!

How long is the weekend lunch wait, and how to book an ocean-view table?
Plan A with its ocean view!! I visited during weekend lunch and there were SO many customers...! If you book ahead on Naver, you can get an ocean-view seat and also order a side dish worth about ₩10,000 for free, so I'd really recommend reserving!!

This clear, refreshing East Sea view fills your whole field of vision...💕
There were lots of surfers and boarders riding the sea breeze, so it was fun watching them while waiting for the food.

On the table, pickles, cold water, and utensils were already set out.

Ordering by tablet at Plan A Restaurant: what we chose
You order using the tablet set on each table! Just order per person!

This is what I ordered. Haha, my boyfriend wanted to order pilaf instead of salad but I stopped him. We'd be happy eating it that way, but our stomachs would definitely explode.

Burrata cheese salad and the warm bread that comes first
The burrata cheese salad came out first! The wait was a bit long since there were so many customers, but it was still delicious.

Fresh burrata cheese with salad! And warm bread on top of that...!

The bread was literally steaming hot. It was soft and chewy yet clean-tasting, perfect as a starter bread.
The burrata cheese was so good too. The size was just right for two people to share!

We made little sandwiches by piling the salad and cheese onto the bread. This has to be what the bread is there for... right?

It made for a great appetizer before the pasta. We split it in half with my boyfriend and munched away, haha.

Cheongyang pepper aglio olio vs shrimp soup spaghetti: which is spicier?
Now for today's stars: cheongyang pepper aglio olio and shrimp soup spaghetti!! The shrimp soup spaghetti was labeled (spicy), but personally, I thought the cheongyang pepper aglio olio was spicier!

Visually it might look a bit like a basil pesto pasta, but?? It's just green from the cheongyang peppers — the mantecatura was done really well! Plus, thanks to the cheongyang peppers, it had that sharp spicy kick that suits Korean tastebuds...! I personally loved it so much. And the roasted garlic confit was perfect too...

Honestly, I ordered the shrimp soup spaghetti because I was craving jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup). The broth wasn't super abundant, but it pooled nicely at the bottom, and there were lots of vegetables in it, which I loved.
It really came out piping hot...! The plating was pretty too, perfect for a date course 😆

There were six big, plump shrimp in it — I was so happy...!
Mixing the creamy aglio olio well and twirling it up to eat, mmm...! This place really is a pasta must-visit... There's clearly a reason it's stayed popular since 2015 without missing a beat...!

Who is Plan A Restaurant in Pohang best for?
Most of the other customers were couples, families, and people with kids, and being able to bring our dog along made it even better. The atmosphere was great and the prices were good too, so if you end up eating in Songdo, this is a restaurant I'd very much want to come back to!! The ingredients felt fresh and the food tasted like it was made with real care — a very satisfying meal.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for good restaurants in Songdo, Pohang, a date-night spot, or an ocean-view pasta place in Pohang! It's truly a Pohang restaurant with the sea in full view, perfect for those who want both great food and great atmosphere.
