Hello!😊 ✈️ What do you buy as a gift on your way home after a Jeju trip? Picking a souvenir is always the tricky part whenever I visit Jeju.

So I was wandering around Dongmun Market checking out what might make a good gift, and that's when I spotted Cheongchuni Oranda. Even from a distance, the rows of bright orange snacks caught my eye.

What kind of shop is Cheongchuni Oranda in Dongmun Market?
Cheongchuni Oranda Dongmun Market Main Branch Tapdong (청춘이오란다 동문시장본점 탑동) is famous for oranda and gwajul made fresh in-store. It's a dessert everyone from kids to grandparents seems to like, and it goes great with coffee too. Let me introduce the shop — they also do nationwide delivery and sell through their Naver Store online.
Where is the shop and where do you park?
- 📌 Enter through Gate 2 or Gate 9 of Jeju Dongmun Market.
- Parking is available at the Dongmun Market public parking lot.
- 📌 Pet-friendly
What kinds of gwajul does Cheongchuni Oranda sell?

They sell four handmade gwajul varieties: white rice, brown rice, buckwheat, and steamed rice gwajul. The white rice gwajul is crispy and sweet, the brown rice gwajul is nutty and mild, the buckwheat gwajul is also nutty and mild, and the steamed rice gwajul is crispy and sweet — mixing a few together would make a nice gift.

Besides the individually wrapped gift packs, they also sell big square blocks of oranda — a nice size if you just want to try some.

Their handmade oranda is crispy outside and chewy inside, made with rice syrup so it never hardens — with garlic, gamtae, nut and yuzu flavors giving a nice range of choices.

What is the donut oranda menu like?
Wow, at first glance I genuinely thought they were donuts — that colorful. They're actually made of oranda too, and I can see why they're popular gifts. They come in 10 individually wrapped flavors, great for gifting, and they even had my favorites — matcha and gold cheese — so there was plenty to choose from.

Tasting counter: try the flavors before you choose
There's a tasting counter where you can try the various oranda and gwajul, which made picking out flavors even more fun. I always thought oranda was just oranda — hard and overly sweet — but tasting it here proved that wrong.

The box packaging itself is so cute and pretty — no wonder this is a popular Jeju Dongmun Market gift with over 3,000 Naver reviews.

It comes in four flavors — yuzu, nuts, garlic, and gamtae — so it was fun picking through and trying each one.

It looks like typical oranda, but the texture is chewy and pillowy soft — a surprising texture that doesn't stick to your teeth, which made it even better.

The yuzu one has a whole dried yuzu piece inside, so a fresh, fragrant citrus scent fills your mouth — a refined, elegant flavor.
Is the oranda gift set worth buying in Jeju?

- 💡 The four oranda flavors were fun to try, and both the white rice gwajul and donut oranda were surprisingly interesting desserts.
