Anyang dessert café with fig dessert and almond cream latte: Eggroom
In short
Eggroom is a brunch and dessert café on the Dongpyeon-maeul café street in Anyang, Gyeonggi. On a weekend visit there was no wait at all — a table right away — and one order covered shakshuka, an egg tart, a seasonal fig dessert and an almond cream latte. Eggroom suits a day when you want a meal and dessert in one sitting instead of moving to a second café.

I was looking for a place to enjoy a good brunch and dessert together on the weekend, and ended up at Eggroom in Anyang's Dongpyeon-maeul. Dongpyeon-maeul is full of pretty cafés and good restaurants, making it a great spot for a weekend outing. This time I was especially looking forward to it because it's a place where you can enjoy a meal, dessert, and coffee all in one visit.

Where is Eggroom, and what kind of café is it?
Eggroom is a brunch café located near the Dongpyeon-maeul café street. True to its name, it has a wide range of egg-based dishes and desserts, plus plenty of light options to enjoy with coffee, so it seemed like a good fit for a date, a get-together with friends, or even a family visit. Since I was visiting on a weekend, I worried there might not be a seat, but thankfully I was seated right away with no wait — a great start.
Walking in, the space feels clean and comfortable overall. It's not too crowded, and the tables felt relaxed enough for a good chat — a good match for anyone looking for a weekend brunch spot. This time, I decided to take my time and work through the menu, one dish at a time.

How was the shakshuka as a brunch dish?
The first thing I ordered was shakshuka, a tomato-based dish with eggs, which went great with bread — dipping grain bread into the warm sauce was genuinely delicious. It wasn't overly salty or heavy; the tomato flavor came through nicely, so it was easy to eat without feeling weighed down, and with the bread it made for a filling, satisfying brunch.

Eggroom's egg tart
I also ordered the egg tart, which you really can't skip at Eggroom. The crisp exterior and soft interior worked really well together, and paired with coffee, the sweetness came through even more. If you like egg tarts, it's worth adding one as a dessert.

How did the seasonal fig dessert taste?
What I was especially looking forward to on this visit was the fig dessert. Desserts made with seasonal fruit look pretty, but the flavor combination really matters — and here, the fig's subtle sweetness paired well with the soft cream, which was satisfying. With every bite I could feel the fig's distinct texture, making it a good match for slowly sipping coffee alongside. It wasn't just sweet — the fruit's flavor came through, so I didn't get tired of it even by the last bite.

The almond cream latte at Eggroom
For a drink, I chose the almond cream latte. Personally, among everything I had that day, this was the drink that really stood out. The soft latte combined with nutty almond cream gave a flavor that was both sweet and nutty. After the savory shakshuka, alternating between the egg tart, fig dessert, and almond cream latte made for a really nice combination.

Is there a wait at Eggroom on weekends?
Above all, what I loved most was that there was a table available even on a weekend, with no wait. These days, popular cafés and brunch spots often mean thinking about waiting in line when you visit on a weekend, but this time I was able to sit down comfortably and order right away as soon as I arrived. Thanks to that, I could enjoy brunch and dessert at a relaxed pace without feeling rushed.
If you're looking for a place to enjoy brunch and dessert together in Anyang's Dongpyeon-maeul, Eggroom is worth a visit. I liked that you can choose according to your taste — from brunch dishes like shakshuka to egg tart, seasonal fruit dessert, and almond cream latte.

I'd especially recommend it to anyone like me who wants to take care of both a meal and dessert in one spot. It would also suit a weekend date, a café visit with friends, or any day you just want to enjoy a light brunch in a nice atmosphere.

This time I had shakshuka, egg tart, fig dessert, and almond cream latte, but next time I'd like to try other brunch dishes and desserts one by one. It was a satisfying weekend, being able to enjoy good food and dessert at a relaxed pace.

If you're looking for a good brunch café in Anyang's Dongpyeon-maeul, save this one and visit sometime. Eggroom, where I could sit comfortably even on a weekend and enjoy good brunch and dessert, is a place I want to remember and visit again.

Why a meal and dessert in one café works here
When you search for good cafés in Dongpyeon-maeul, it's not actually that easy to find a place that satisfies both brunch and dessert cravings — and that's where Eggroom clearly has an advantage. Being able to eat a meal and then move straight into dessert without switching cafés was really convenient. Especially on weekends, when you factor in travel time between places, being able to spend a relaxed stretch of time in one space is a pretty big plus.
The dishes also happen to photograph nicely, so it should suit anyone who likes taking food photos. The shakshuka had that unmistakable warm-brunch feel, the egg tart was small but a good way to finish with dessert, the fig dessert gave the visit a real sense of the season, and the almond cream latte was nutty and smooth, pairing especially well with dessert.

If you're browsing for good cafés in Gwanyang-dong and want something between a good brunch and a sweet dessert rather than a heavy meal, I'd recommend ordering this kind of combination. Rather than sticking to just one dish, sharing several and comparing the flavors was part of the fun.

What stuck with me most was being able to sit down right away even on a weekend visit. Great food matters, but so does a comfortable atmosphere where you can sit and chat while eating — that matters too when picking a café. This time, starting without any wait meant I could relax through the whole meal, and I think the food felt even better for it. I'd love to come back again at this same relaxed pace.
