Gimhae king crab restaurant, medium size for two: Dosi Crab Gimhae

Today I'm bringing you an honest review of 🩷Dosi Crab Gimhae Branch🩷, which is becoming a hot spot in Gusan-dong, Gimhae. Let's go!

Where is Dosi Crab Gimhae Branch, and what are its hours?

Dosi Crab Gimhae Branch is a snow crab and king crab restaurant located at 5 Gusan-ro 19beon-gil, Gimhae-si, Gyeongsangnam-do. Hours are Mon and Wed 17:00–22:00, and Sat, Sun, and holidays 12:00–22:00.

As soon as I walked in, the entrance covered in celebrity autographs caught my eye! With that many signatures, it's clear why it's a famous crab spot, and my excitement was already through the roof before I even sat down. Heart pounding!

Inside Dosi Crab Gimhae: the dining room and the live crab tank

The interior of Dosi Crab Gimhae Branch is all white tones, so it's very clean and pleasant. One wall decorated with crab shells was cute too, and there are private rooms available, which would be great for family gatherings or company dinners.

Next to the restaurant is a clean crab tank — the water was really clear and the crabs were moving so actively that they clearly looked fresh, which built a lot of trust. The kids seemed fascinated and kept watching them 🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀

Medium king crab for 109,000 won plus a 6,000 won table setting per person

We ordered the king crab garlic cheese butter grill. The medium size king crab was ₩109,000.

There's a basic table setting fee of ₩6,000 per person, but seeing the sukiddashi (small side dishes) spread that came out, I thought it was seriously great value.

The mushroom soup that started things off was genuinely delicious, ugh. Soft and warm, it soothed my stomach completely. What is this soup?! I want to eat it at home too.

The salad, shrimp sushi, sweet shrimp, and fried shrimp that followed were all delicious too! The best.

The sushi was fresh, and the sweet shrimp — which I love — melted in my mouth, and the fried shrimp was so crispy... I'd brought my car, but the moment I tasted the banchan spread, I blurted out, "Let's ditch the car today and drink!" haha

Finally, today's main dish — the king crab garlic cheese butter grill — arrived! I had no idea the cheese would be piled on that generously; I was amazed just looking at it.

I immediately went for a beer 🍺 It's a dish that basically demands alcohol! Cheers, cheers, cheers.

It came already cut and prepped so it was easy to pick out the meat — you just put on the plastic gloves and pull the meat right out, which was so convenient. They weren't the disposable clear plastic gloves either, but sturdy black ones — I liked that, no worries about them tearing.

Dipped in the sauce, it's rich and satisfying, and the plump king crab claws were cute too, packed full of meat — we happily munched away.

Ramyeon and crab fried rice free with the Naver receipt review

If you leave a Naver receipt review at Dosi Crab Gimhae Branch, you can choose between fried rice and ramyeon — we tried both!

This was food from a review event, but the quality was seriously insane... There was a whole big crab on top of the ramyeon, and plenty of seafood underneath, so the broth was deep and spicy.

The crab fried rice also came topped with savory crab guts and popping flying fish roe — it was genuinely touching.

Right as the meal was wrapping up, they even brought out a yogurt dessert 💙

Is the medium king crab enough for two people?

Even eating together as two, we had leftover king crab, so we packed it up to take home.

It was such a satisfying meal that I was glad I'd left the car behind. If you're looking for a good restaurant in Gimhae, you have to visit Dosi Crab! You won't regret it.
