In short
Saechamcoffee is an independent café in the middle of Dangri-dangil in Manan-gu, Anyang, within walking distance of Anyang Jungang Market. On a weekend afternoon the writer and her husband ordered the truffle jambon-beurre sandwich set, a caffè latte, a matcha levain cookie and a nunetine scone, and paid with an Onnuri gift card. My husband and I went to check out Anyang Jungang Market on the weekend. After wandering around the market for a while, we felt like grabbing coffee, so we decided to walk over to nearby Dangri-dangil. The place we visited that day was Saechamcoffee.
Honestly, I originally just wanted a quick coffee break, but the cozy atmosphere and delicious desserts turned it into such a great time. The jambon-beurre sandwich in particular was a genuine wow — so good. So here's my honest review of Saechamcoffee!

Can you walk from Anyang Jungang Market? Saechamcoffee sits mid-Dangri-dangil
Saechamcoffee sits roughly in the middle of Dangri-dangil, so it was an easy walk over after browsing Anyang Jungang Market. From a distance, the clean white sign catches your eye first — the exterior itself has a tidy, no-frills feel.

Rather than the feel of the big new-generation cafés popping up everywhere these days, it had that cozy vibe unique to a neighborhood independent café. There's no dedicated parking lot, so we used the Gaenari Park parking lot, a 5-minute walk away. Parking fees were very cheap too, so we could park without worry and explore both Dangri-dangil and Jungang Market.

Maybe because it's a café on Dangri-dangil, Onnuri gift cards were accepted here!
Inside Saechamcoffee: far roomier than it looks from the street
From the outside, Saechamcoffee looked like a cozy, compact independent café, but stepping inside, it was much more spacious than I expected. The tables come in various shapes, and best of all, the spacing between tables was nice and generous.

Cafés where you can hear the table next to you a little too clearly always make me a bit self-conscious, but here my husband and I could chat comfortably. The overall vibe is cozy and quiet, so it didn't feel awkward to sit for a long time. The bar seating is well set up and there are outlets everywhere, so if you're looking for a café near Anyang Station to work on your laptop or study, this one's worth recommending.

There's also a cute photo zone haha. Since it had been a while since my husband and I had been to a café together, we left with a photo to remember it by.

There's a baby chair on hand, and since it's a pet-friendly café, there's even a dedicated pet cushion! The owner has real style.
Saechamcoffee menu: sandwich sets and weekday drip coffee
Saechamcoffee has three types of sandwiches in total, but on the day we visited, only the truffle jambon sandwich was available. However, it could be paired with an Americano as a set menu, and the discounted pricing made the set a good deal.

The coffee beans could be swapped for decaf, and there were also fresh fruit juices like detox juice. On weekdays you can enjoy five kinds of drip coffee. Since we visited on the weekend, we unfortunately had to stick with espresso-based drinks.

You can also tell they're serious about coffee here, since they've made their own branded drip bags for sale. They even come in box packaging, which seems like a nice gift for coffee-loving friends. You can even buy them individually!
House-made desserts at Saechamcoffee: levain cookies, scones and cakes
Saechamcoffee has a good variety of levain cookies and scones. There are even four kinds of cake, so it's a dessert café that dessert lovers would be satisfied with.

What we ordered: truffle jambon-beurre set, matcha levain cookie, nunetine scone
- Jambon-beurre sandwich set
- Caffè latte
- Matcha levain cookie
- Nunetine scone

Since they make the sandwich fresh to order, it took about 10 minutes to come out. The cookies and scones were under ₩4,000, and their look and size were really impressive for that price.

The jambon-beurre sandwich was especially moving!!! It even came with pickles on the side, which was such a thoughtful touch. The baguette had that crispy-yet-soft texture, wasn't chewy at all, and was so delicious (I honestly wanted to buy the bread alone...). With a subtle truffle aroma, real butter left whole inside, and layer upon layer of not-too-salty ham, the sweet-and-salty flavor was the best.

The levain cookie was really dense and fudgy, and the scone wasn't dry at all — soft, and it paired wonderfully with warm coffee. The crispy outer surface especially kept making me reach for more.
Why Saechamcoffee is an Anyang café worth returning to

I never expected to fall for a sandwich, but Saechamcoffee did it. It was so satisfying that I want to come back and try the other sandwich types too. I loved the cozy atmosphere unique to an independent café, plus the spacious store and generous table spacing made it easy for my husband and me to relax comfortably. If we come back to Jungang Market again, I'll definitely revisit for the other sandwiches.
